Sybase Tech-Library CD's

On the Sybase Tech-Library CD's, you can install the stand-alone
documentation on NT, however on Solaris you can install a web-server based
one to allow other users to be able to access the documentation too.

Is there anything at present / any plans to release a web-server based
system for NT?

Cheers

Alan

11.3 ISO's for CD's?
I would like to try out openSUSE by physically installing it on an older Intel PIV I'm not using anymore but doesn't have a DVD drive. Is there a CD(s) ISO(s) download out there? If so I can't find it, am not really happy with the LiveCD version... -- msix ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yep just select CD on the download page. You will then have to decide on KDE, Gnome or some other desktop. The CD also allows you to boot and run the OS from it. 'openSUSE.org' (http://opensuse.org) -- gogalthorp...

Replace 1's and 0's in a gridview column with Yes's and No's
Is it possible to change the display of a column in a gridview to show a Yes for all 1's and a No for 0's that display in a particular column of a gridview bound to a database?  If so, can someone share the way with me?  I am using ASP.NET 2.0 with VB Code Behind.  Thanks One way you can do is thrrough  CASE in your select statement: Select YesNoColumn= CASE yourColumn WHEN 1 THEN 'Yes' WHEN 0 THEN 'No' ELSE '' END FROM YourtableLimno <Columns>     <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="yourHeader" SortExpression="yourDataField"> ...

Difference between CD's and DVD's upgradability? Whats that mean?
On the downloads page I notice the cd's are not upgradable, but the dvd free version is.. This seems backward to me. The cd's have less stuff so they should be able to be upgraded to the fuller version via the repos - or at least get all the stuff it's missing. Where as the dvd's are stuffed with over 3 gigs of things one would think it should not need any upgrading. Or are they talking about being upgradable to the paid for version? or something entirely different? -- HalJordan ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ...

Using Reflection to load WAP's child WSP's App_Code library
I am currently running a WAP with 2 sub web WAPs and a sub WebSite.  I want to load the child web SITE project's App_Code dll, but cannot figure out how, since if I do: oAssembly = Reflection.Assembly.Load("App_Code") It doesn't find the library (since the child sites are not applications) and its not part of the parent project.  Is there any way to specify the way to load the child web site's app_code dll to access some classes I have in it? Greg Fricke We would recommend you move the code you want to share in App_Code to its own class library. This way, your Web Site and Web...

Sony's CD rootkit infringes DVD Jon's copyright
X-posted: grc.linkfarm, grc.techtalk; follow-up to grc.techtalk. As seen in "The Register", in a perverse twist, part of the code in Sony's DRM software may have been used thus infringing copyright. |Quote| Sony's rootkit-style DRM software, XCP, designed to prevent copyright infringement, looks like it's breaching the terms of a copyright agreement itself. The irony of a company using code from someone who circumvented DRM to develop an even nastier form of DRM - without even saying "Thanks!" - will surely feature in geek trivia quizzes for ...

Creating 'dummy' volume for installation CD's
I was thinking, for those times when I'm not onsite and wish to work with software on CD-ROM, of creating a "CDCOPY" volume. I keep copies of all installation CD's on one server, and could copy the contents of what I need to this dummy volume and work with it that way. I was thinking of doing this because I recall problems in the past with too-long paths if, e.g., you try to install from SYS:\PATCHES\NETWARE\65\SP4 instead of from the root of a volume. Is this a good/bad/unnecessary idea? Will Netware's Products CD and others work this way? Thanks m...

We've got a nw6/sp5 network with GW 6.5, bm3.7 and zfd 4.01 up'n'running.. Now we're adding a citrix server ( win2003) to the mix, will supply a couple off app's to users over the internal VPN in another city. Who's show is SN? Steve's or Leo's?
I don't want to start anything (honestly)! Just want to ask a simple question. Does the Security Now podcast belong to Steve Gibson or Leo Laporte? Maybe I'm in a world all to myself, but when I listen to the excellent SN podcasts, I want to hear STEVE, not Leo. But especially in the past few shows, it seems Leo will repeatedly interrupt Steve in the middle of a sentence that I want to hear the rest of. I consider this very rude of Leo. Steve is making a point that I (we) want to hear, then looses his train of thought after Leo barges in and asks something. It...

DataSet's DataTable's and TableAdapter's Oh My!
Here is my situation.  I am using VB as my programming language.I am creating a part of a website that will be the admin section.  I want the admin to be able to add/edit data in a set of tables that normal users can't.  There are 20 lookup tables that I use in the website that I want the admin to be able to manage (i.e. add, edit, delete, insert).  I don't want to create 20 separate web pages (one for each table).  I have one page that has links to all the tables.  Each link has a "table" querystring variable associated with it.  When the...

DVD reads DVD's but will not read any CD's in SUSE 11.2 .
I have just upgraded from SUSE 10.1 which I used for a few years with good results to OPEN SUSE 11.2. Everything is fine but for one very strange problem with the DVD writer when a DVD is inserted it automounts and all the files are there. When I try the same with a CD it does not mount or do anything the drive light flickers and thats all. The only program that shows any hint of it being present is K3b which shows that its there by reading the CD title but does not show any of the CD contents. This happens with all CD's so is not faulty disks one other thing it will pl...

IDE's Win32 Library path and project's Search Path: Did something change between D2007 and D2007?
Hi guys, I noticed something that Delphi seems to do different between versions 2005/2006 on one side, and 2007/2009 on the other, but I'm not sure whether it's in fact me who's doing something wrong :-). Together with my component library I distribute some example programs that illustrate their use. The installer adds the installation directories of the dcp/dcu directories of my components to the Win32 Library Path in Delphi's options. This worked fine for 2005/2006, in the project options of the example programs I didn't need to specify any of these i...
