Convert Date and order by
Hi!I have a little problem. I’m trying to sort a date I have converted like thisConvert(datetime,LH.LoginDateTime,103) as RegistrationDateBut when I use Order by on RegistrationDate it only sort on days:01/11/200601/12/200602/11/200602/12/200603/11/200603/12/2006I’ll guess it’s because of the “varchar” convert, but I need the date to bee inn this format, since I only shall check the date and not the time. Is there a way around this, so I can order it like this? (Se under)01/11/200602/11/200603/11/200601/12/200602/12/200603/12/2006Sample SQL;select Convert(varchar,LH.LoginDateTime,103) as Reg...convert date christian date to persian date

I am in the process of building an appointment system, and I am trying to see if I can get some pointers on which way to go on this.
The first version of this appointment system was very lo-tech, and it stored all of the possible dates/times in the database. Once a user booked an appointment, their information was logged to that date/time, and then that date/time would no longer show in the list of possible openings. This was great for a temporary fix, but with having to pre-populate all of the dates/times, the system would eventually have to be updated to continue on pa...date format, date order

I cannot open this in excel and edit the dates because it
will cut off some data. I'm going to need to do this on the

SET OPTION DATE_FORMAT = 'MM/DD/YYYY';
....it still will not recognize it. There has to be a way to
do this, right?

I'm using .NET 2.0 framework with a Postgres DB. I'm getting date values from the table 'creationdate' and I need to compare it with other date value (given by me). The thing is that tha date returned from the DB comes like this '27-03-2006 0:00:00' and the date value that I use to campare comes like this '27-03-2006'. I want to know how to convert the returned date value from the DB to date only...?!
I tried using the following:
SELECT CONVERT(char(10),creationdate,101) AS date FROM calendar.events WHERE date = "myDate";
but it gives me an error: syntax error at or near "," at c...HELP- SqlAnyWhere X SqlWindows(cannot convert to the date/time)

There are a couple of functions in the n_cst_datetime object in PFC that do
that. If you don't want to use PFC, at least look at the code to see what
they are doing.

date to julian format:

Why using date(em_1.text) will return 1900/01/01, but not the date I
input? How to do it?
What date format are you using i the editmask? The date function is using
the system date format to convert the text to date first. If that does not
work, it is using yyyy-mm-dd as format.
