Need Basic Assistance setting up PB 10.5.1 Build 6021 application in ClearCase 7.0.0.1

Greetings to all,

I've been working with PowerBuilder since the 4.0 days and I've worked
with various source control systems - no problem until I meet
ClearCase(either that, or I'm losing my mind!). Any way, as the long
subject line says, I need basic assistance, a step-by-step guide, if
possible.

Here's where I'm at. I've converted the app from PB 6.5 to 10.5 and
cleaned up the "edges".
I've got a directory tree set up with a master directory and a
subdirectory beneath it for each PBL. I've placed each PBL in it's
subdirectory and exported it's contents to that subdirectory.
I've cloned that to a version that contains only the exported objects
in each subdirectory. I've copied that into ClearCase. I've "added"
each item to the repository. From here on out, I'm lost. How do I
set it up in PowerBuilder so that I can use it? Help (much help)
would be greatly appreciated.

Also, please do post you repsonse(s) but also let them be mailed to
my.

Thanks,

Peter B

Get it on Google Play
Get it on Apple App Store

You shouldn't ever need to request manual source exports anymore.

- Remove all the objects/files you've registered to ClearCase and start over
(leave the Project definition, or whatever CC calls them)
- Make sure all your PBLs/PBTs/PBWs, etc are on your local file system.
Don't work from PBLs out on the network. Or more correctly stated - don't
have your development team working from a single shared copy of the source
PBLs like you did with 6.5. Every developer gets their own complete copy of
the source PBLs.
- Right-click on the workspace, and go to Properties/Source Control.
- Establish the connection to the ClearCase project here. Make sure "Delete
PB-generated Object Files" is off, and "Perform diff on status update" is
on.
- Now, right-click on the Target, and select "Add to Source Control..." At
the next dialog, select "Objects in this target", not "This single Target
file only". Click OK, and go get a cup of coffee. PB will re-export all
the source and register it to ClearCase.
- When this is complete, copy your entire local root folder to machines 2
through N.
- On each machine: right click the workspace, go to Properties, and
establish the connection to ClearCase.

Tried it, unfortunately, it failed. It got as far as exporting
everything. On the first add to the source control repository, it
failed with this error:

Error adding 'c:\....srd' to source control. Unable to determine view
for 'c:\....srd': not a ClearCase object.

Powerbuilder 10.5.1 and ClearCase LT 7.0.0.1 problem
Hi, Sorry for the long post (you'll see. :)) I've been trying to get Powerbuilder 10.5.1 to work with ClearCase LT 7.0.0.1, but even though PB is able to connect to ClearCase, and the Orcascript can populate the PBLs just fine, when I add the target to the PB workspace, all objects are displayed with a "+" next to them, as if nothing (including the target) is under version control. Here's a quick rundown of how we do things: - We have four environments: Production, Acceptance, Test and Development. These are set up in a "hierarchy" (wrong ter...

Is it just me or has the Fandango site stopped working with FF (1.5.0.7, 1.5.0.9, 2.0) on eComStation 1.2 ?
Hi all, I've possibly messed up my Firefox installations, but other pages still seem to work OK. Has anyone else had problems recently with http://www.fandango.com ? The home page comes up, and then completely hangs my system, and even if I ctrl-alt-delete and kill Firefox with TOP, I just get a black screen and have to re-boot. It used to work fine. If it's just me, does anyone have any advice for what might be happening or how to go about figuring it out ?
