We are getting several Warnings migrating from PB 10.2 to 10.5 telling us
that Function or event 'pfc_printdlg' must be declared before it can be
compiled. Is this something that we now need to do for PB 10.5, or should
we have been doing this prior to going to PB 10.5?
It's coming from the pre-PB10 version of PFC. Those calls have been
removed in the most recent versions.

If you add/change an event/function, and Powerbuilder crashes promptly upon
saving ( despite the syntax of the script was verified OK by compiling), one
possible way to fix it is to remove
initialization of local variable during the variable declaration.
Definitely you will have trouble when the initialization makes reference to
non constant. Formal argument is non constant although sometimes you can get
away with something like this:
date ld_date =today()
I stumble on this grieve by forgetting the rule and include a formal
declaration in the initialization.

Count the bytes.
You know the length of every object, because strings have to be
initialized before seneding them to the API call.
