PB 7.0.03 vs. PB 7.0.02C3

Hi All

I have this question. My company decided to move from PB 6.0 to PB 7.0.03.
In the process, I learned about existing regression bugs in version 7.0.03.
The solution to this problem would be to install PB 7.0.02C3. Does anybody
know how to get this version, or any other reliable release of version 7?

Regards

To load C3, you'll have to get 7.0.2 CDs from Sybase (Enterprise only,
I think you can download 7.0.2 Desktop and Professional from the web
site) and apply the C3 patch to that.

I'd look at the bug fix list in the later releases too. Don't forget
that generally more things are fixed than broken with each public
release (every release of PowerBuilder, as well as all other
development tools, have had regressions). It'd be a shame to get most
of the way through a development and realize you need a fix that was
available before you started.

Good luck,

Andreas is correct about dw blob columns. If you need these, then don't use
7.0.2 builds after about 8030. If you don't, then 8046 is very stable. We
couldn't use 10009 due to a regression, but I can't remember what it was!

PB 7.0.2 can not find PB 7.0 install
I am still working through this with tech support but so far have not found a solution. I have installed the desktop version of PB 7.0. After doing so I try to install the PB 7.0.2 maintenance release. I am told by the install software that I do not have a ledgimate version of PB 7.0 or 7.01 and the install is broken off abruptly. Of course I do have 7.0 installed. This is happening on a Win95 and Win98 machine, though it does not happen on a Win 4.0 (sp6a) machine. Is the 7.02 version you have for Desktop? PB 7.0 to PB 5.0

My question is:Is it will very difficult for me(focus on syntax, powerful...) thank you very much Having done the same thing... almost... in the other direction, I can say that the actual coding portion of PB hasn't changed drastically between 5 and 7. There was a major rework of the IDE between 6 and 7, but extremely little change in syntax and/or available commands. There were, however, a few new features in 6 that weren't in 5 (shared objects, for one). Not a lot, t...

PB 7.0 or PB 6.5 or PB 6.0 or PB5.04
We are using PB 5.04 Enterprise at this moment and are almost happy (uch) with it. Because we don't programming applications for the Internet (maybe in the near future) we haven't upgraded to version 6.0 and 6.5. Now we are confused what to do, keeping the old and 'stable' version (5.04) or upgrading to a newer version. Are there features in the newer versions wich make it a 'must' to upgrade. What are this features. Or are there reasons to stay on 5.04 (buggy newer versions?). What is doing the rest of the Powerbuilder world??? Greetings, Hans Groeneveld ...

pb 6.5, pb 7.0, pb 8.0 and future releases
I have designed an app using PB 6.5.1 and feel quite confortable to write another app using this version of Power Buulder. I am aware that there have been many other releases after this but have heard many developers complain about not being stable and so forth. I can't say how true this is cause I never bothered to update to later releases. I recently got a contract for a new app and quite likely will be using Power Biulder but I am wondering if am cheating myself by not trying to upgrade myself to a later release of Power Biulder.
