PB 11.5.1 and SqlAnywhere 5.5
When I open a datawindow in the datawindow painter and click Design>Data Source I get the following error message: SQLSTATE = 37000 [Sybase][ODBC Driver] Syntax error: unknown function 'user_id' The heading on the message is GetTriggers. I do not have any triggers on this database. I get the same error regardless of the datawindow I open when I click Data Source. I click OK and it seems to be okay but not 100% sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jerry

SQL Anywhere 5.5 has not been tested against PB 11.5.1. However, there is no reason that I can think that this would not work. What specific version and build of SA5.5 and PB 11.0.1 are you using? I am testing with 5.5.05 Build #2817 and PB 11.0.1.4011 and I am not able to reproduce the behaviou using the steps to repro that you provided. I am trying to sychronize my Palm to-do list with Groupwise. When I sync I get one of two error messages in a dialog labled "Pilot connector." The messages are "Unable to read application data" or "Unable to complete translataion. I tried the solution in "Answer ID 1737" (clearing "log" file etc and resyncing). I also cleared all the tasks out of Groupwise and ran GWCHK32 and made sure the account database was not corrupted (I'm the GroupWise Admin). Upon syncing I still got the "translation" message. Hello, Is there any possible way to save a datawindow created & written in PB 11.5.1 in the exact datawindow format/sytnax of previous version(s), namely 11.1? Reason being is that we have an application that is still not migrated from 11.1 to 11.5.1, and we have to write a custom report for it urgently. Out application can import the exported SRD datawindow report and store its syntax in the table & run it from there. PB 6.5.1 + Y2K Patch Regression Bug (was SQLAnywhere 5.5 Column Not Taking Integer)
After looking deeper into my problems (see 'SQLAnywhere 5.5 Column Not Taking Integer), I contacted tech support this morning. The bug affects not only UPDATE statements with a WHERE clause, but actually _all_ static SQL statements that have a where clause involving a comparison to a variable. This has been repeated with the AdaptSrvAny 6.0 backend. My system and the ASA system at Sybase are both using the _ODBC_ driver, so this appears to be the early culprit.
