where is powerdesigner?

I just read the asa-8 documentation and found out that powerdesigner can be
located at:
From the Start menu, choose Programs->Sybase SQL Anywhere 8->PowerDesigner
7->PowerDesigner.

Somehow I couldn't find it? Is it missing from installation cd? or do i have
to purchase a powerdesigner cd of its own?

please advise, thx
rony

Get it on Google Play
Get it on Apple App Store

Its a seperate software and you need to purchase it seperately and install
it.

Not quite true. SQL Anywhere Studio ships a PD version that is ASA focused.
The ASA that is included with PB (a developers edition that is focused on
PB) will not be the Studio.

As a developer's version, you CANNOT deploy dbengX or dbsrvX where X is the
product version without purchased deployment licenses. You CAN deploy the
runtime engine rtengX which can be found as a separate directory on the PB
product CD.

Version of PowerBuilder (ref: Creating database for PowerBuilder)
I'm using PowerBuilder v8.0 and would like to create a notification system for my practiculum project. I'd like to use Access to create the database. Please enlighten me on what should I create (e.g. tables, queries) for the usage of it. Thank You. Regards, Yang Ashra Don't double post, it's bad etiquette. Unless you have a very good reason to do so, we recommend you don't use Access. Use SQL Anywhere instead - it's more stable - and a far better database in my opinion. PowerBuilder (enterprise) supports just about every database out there, so if you...

PowerBuilder, COM and databases
Does anybody know if there are any restrictions or limitations on what backend databases can be connected to using a COM object created in PowerBuilder? What do we do without PowerDesigner for PowerBuilder?
I have use PowerDesigner for PowerBuilder for more than 5 years to do all my data modeling and maintenance of the design of my databases. I found it a wonderful tool. It used to be included in the EADStudio Bundle. Not it has been dropped and I am in a confusion as to what to do. I have called Sybase/Power Builder about this several times and they seem even more confused than I about what happened and what to do. I can still use the older product but I need support for Global ID's and the newer version of the IAnywhere database. I can use the Physiacal Architect that comes ...
