We are currently using PowerBuilder 8.0.1 build 9056 on Oracle 8.1.7
A customer of ours wants to move to Oracle 9.2.0.1.
The document on the link below describes the compatibility between
PowerBuilder and Oracle.

not supported with this driver.
Requires build 10501 or later. Requires Oracle patch set 9.2.0.4 or patch

Hi,
When I make DBD-Oracle 1.14 , Makefile.PL generates a Makefile with "-o
build" in the compiler string before blib/arch/auto/DBD/Oracle/Oracle.so and
prevents Oracle.so from being built correctly.

EAServer 5.3.0, Oracle 8.1.7 Database with Oracle 10.1.0.2 client VARCHAR2(4000) problemHello!
I'm having some problems in this configuration on Windows
XP.
I am developing websites on an Oracle database (8.1.7), with
EAServer 5.3.0 (build 53016), Java objects using JSP as a
front end.
Here is my problem, I have a table with 2 VARCHAR2(4000),
and when I access the webpage, the they are displayed as
'?????????????'. If I debug the PB component, when I affect
the DW field to a variable, it displays it as it doesn't
"understand" a thing (each character is replaced by a
square).
The codeset of EAServer is UTF8, and on my client, it is

D.O.S. with Groupwise Messenger 1.0.1, 1.0.2 and 1.0.3I reported this in the Groupwise Mesenger forum to no avail. I'll try my
luck here :-)
If you run a 'snmpwalk' on a Netware server running Groupwise
Messenger V1.0.1 to V1.0.3) with _MESSENGER_ SNMP enabled, it will abend the
server. With version 1.0.2 and 1.0.3, if you disable the Messenger SNMP,
server won't abend but will only report SNMP info for Netware (and Groupwise
if loaded and SNMP enabled).
Can be easily tested by running the win32 snmpwalk from

like this :

Compile problems: Solaris 8, DBD-Oracle1.14, Oracle 9.2.0.1.0, Perl 5.8.0Hi all,
I'm having problems getting the make process go through. The platform is
Solaris 8 on 64-bit Sparc, Oracle is 64-bit 9.2.0.1.0 and Perl is the latest
package from sunfreeware, DBI is 1.35.
First hurdle is to get make to link with the 32 bit libraries, but I managed
to fix this. The next one is rather unclear to me, though... The tail of the
output from make:
Running Mkbootstrap for DBD::Oracle ()
chmod 644 Oracle.bs
rm -f blib/arch/auto/DBD/Oracle/Oracle.so

Does ODAC 9.2.0.7.0 work with Oracle database version 9i 9.2.0.6.0 using VS2005?
I am using VS2005 and need to connect to an Oracle database.
The Oracle database version is Oracle 9i 9.2.0.6.0
I have taken a look at the Oracle site (http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/windows/odpnet/index.html).
I can download the Oracle Data Access Component - Oracle9i Release 2 ODAC 9.2.0.7.0, but will this work with our current Oracle database version 9i 9.2.0.6.0 ?
Any help appreciated.
Regards,
Paul.
Apsolutely.Install it, it will work w/o problems. Regards,Dejan VesićMCAD for .Net technologies | http://www.vesic.org/english/ | Blog: http://www.vesic.org...
Powerbuilder 8 / Oracle 8.1.7.0.0 errorWhen I run my PB 8 build 9506 application using Oracle
8.1.7.0.0 client, I get the following error. If I use Oracle
8.0.5 client, it works. Please advise as I need to be on
Oracle 8i.
Number 3120 Select error: ORA-03120: two-task conversion
routine: integer overflow
What version of Oracle is the server? Perhaps it's an Oracle bug.
