Powerdesigner - generating test data scripts

We are currently using PowerDesigner 6 to convert an Informix database to
Oracle 8i.
We were hopimg to generate some test data by creating a script from the
existing Informix database using the dictionary/profile option and the
database/generate test data option. Unfortunately the options only seem to
allow one column of data to be extracted. If more than one column is
selected (e.g. select * in the sql window) then the 2nd and subsequent
columns are populated with data from the first column.
Is this a bug or is there a work around or is there an alternative product
that uses PowerDesigner's simple approach?

Test of scripts with Test::More
Hi, Recently i wrote a perl module that includes package and a script. As part of the module sanity tests, I would like to run the script and verify a success. For that, I am using Test::More and Test::Simple. Is there any recommendations how to do this? Scripting Inserts (Test Data)
PowerDesigner 9.x I know I can script test data utilizing PowerDesigner. However I want to generate scripts based on the data currently in the existing database. I need to automatically generate a script for my Microsoft SQL Server data (existing test data) into inserts scripts which can be used later when I want to truncate a table and repopulate it. Basically, there will be application tests taking place that may alter or destroy the data and I need a quick way to clear all the tables and populate with the baseline data. Can I do this with PowerDesigner? Thanks Yo...

data, data, data
Hello, I need some advice on the best method to keep a database updated in this scenario. I have a local Solomon SQL Server where we keep our inventory. I want to build an application that will be hosted at a remote hosting location which provides a SQL database. I want to build the application to allow clients to access the inventory items and make requests based on the remote SQL data. The order will be sent to our fulfillment department via email; they will fiill the request and ship.  I'm not sure the method to do this while keeping the data current on the remote and the l...

Script to dump data to a script?
Has anyone written a script to dump the data from a table into an append script? Before writing it myself, I thought I'd see if anyone's done it first. I'd like to pass it the name of a table and have it write an "insert into <table> values( xxx, yyy, zzz )" style script. Even better would be a script to recreate the table as well.
