Hi All, I am very new in this field of distributed powerbuilder but have some experience in the other side of powerbuilder. Have been reading and looking at the examples. I am having the PB 5.0.03 (Desktop) and don't have a clue how to create remote objects as shown in the example program..Is this because of the Desktop version??... If so which level would begin to provide facilities to create remote objects?? I am very interested to try out this part of powerbuilder programming Thanks Mustafa

A Powersoft support engineer told me that Distributed only works with PB Enterprise (at least in PB 6) Regards, Dave Fish [Team PS] Application Design Specialists Sydney, Australia On Thu, 15 Jan 1998 09:00:19 -0500, "Dean Jones" <dean@outtech.com> wrote: >I only own Enterprise, so not sure... >-- >Thanks >Dean Jones, CPD Professional >PowerTeam, Inc. >www.powerobjects.com >dean@outtech.com > >Mustafa Kamal Abdullah <mus@acecom.com.my> wrote in article ><01bd214d$f0281900$140000c0@mus--notebook>... >> >> >> Dean Jones <dean@outtech.com> wrote in article >> <01bd210e$648f17c0$8891d992@jones-dean>... >> > DeskTop will work, but Powersoft remove the ability to create a proxy. >> > -- >> > Thanks >> > Dean Jones, CPD Professional >> > PowerTeam, Inc. >> > www.powerobjects.com >> > dean@outtech.com >> > >> Thank You Mr Jones for your reply, should I upgrade to professional or >the >> enterprise to have the ability to create proxy objects?? >> >> Mustafa >>
