Jaguar CTS 3.0.1 coming with PowerBuilder 7.0.1
Hi, first of all, you will excuse my english - i'm trying !
We got a copy of PowerBuilder 7.0.1 Enterprise Edition who comes with
Jaguar CTS 3.0.1 - We are just in the begining to build our application in a
distributed PowerBuilder architecture and we want to use the Sybase solution
with Jaguar Component Transaction Server.
My questions is : Jaguar CTS 3.0.1 who comes with PB Enterprise 7.0.1 is
enough to do the job ? We do not need EAServer 3.x ? What we need to
deployed an application with this solution ? licenses ? What is the best
documentation (a book to sugg) to read about PowerBuilder Jaguar Component,
and the "how to" setup a server, and how you tell to a component that we
enroll into a "fonctional" transaction (like GetContext( ) with MTS and VB)
??

I've installed both Jag and PD on Solaris 2.6. I want to use Netscape as a Web Server. I have configurated PD, created a pdynamo.ini on th PC an d modified the path to some static file mappning. After restarting of the Netscape, I have tryed to reach some of the static file sites without success. D.O.S. with Groupwise Messenger 1.0.1, 1.0.2 and 1.0.3
I reported this in the Groupwise Mesenger forum to no avail. I'll try my luck here :-) If you run a 'snmpwalk' on a Netware server running Groupwise Messenger V1.0.1 to V1.0.3) with _MESSENGER_ SNMP enabled, it will abend the server. With version 1.0.2 and 1.0.3, if you disable the Messenger SNMP, server won't abend but will only report SNMP info for Netware (and Groupwise if loaded and SNMP enabled). Jaguar 3.0.1 and PB7.0.1
I recently upgraded to the Vx.x.1 release of these products. Before I upgraded it appeared that when I re-deployed a PB component to Jaguar that Jaguar flushed the instance pool and then next time I reran my test the new version of the PB component was used. For some reason since upgrading this no longer seems to be the case and I have to recycle Jaguar to pick up the new component.
