We are currently running the Agent version:
Client Agent: 126.96.36.199
Detection Agent: 188.8.131.52
Patch Management Server: 184.108.40.2068
Control Panel: 220.127.116.11
Notification Manager: 18.104.22.168
If i deploy the new patch: "C - ZENworks Patch Management Agent Upgrade for Windows from 6.0 or higher to 22.214.171.1248" it is installed fine (status: green), but after a reboot of this workstation the Client Agent is not changed and still 126.96.36.199.
I checked GravitixService.exe and DAgent.exe, and these versions are still 188.8.131.52.

According to this URL:
ZENworks Patch Management Patch 5 is out....I must be way behind because I
still have the base product installed. Where are these patches at? I
cannot seem to find any of them on Novell's website. Applying these
patches could very well fix my issue with my server not being able to
contact novell.patchlinksecure.net as well as the issue we are having

Please I am testing Custom Patch ZPM 6.4,
My problem is I don't know how many compress file.
Please someone knows this, Please tell me.
Ricardo Seris Guerra
are you asking how to compress your files? In a custom package you
would have to do this yourself, perhaps use winzip to compress, then
use a script to decompress at the workstation. To make this automatic,
you would need to buy the PDK (Patch Development Kit)

...ZENworks Patch Management 6.3
We were using ZPM version 6.2.x for a while and had 400 clients
registered with the server. Many of the agents were older versions
because of compatibility issues with other software (we can't install
MSXML 4SP2). Because of that, we have most clients installed with
Two days ago I tried to upgrade the server to version 6.3 but didn't see
the upgrade instructions (why isn't that part of the documentation?). I
tried just using the download from the ZEN7 suite w/SP1 and the result
was I had to start completely from scratch. It removed the old vers...Patchlink vs Zenworks Patch Management
Like most you I quickly found out that ZPM was just a lite version of
Patchlink. I then contacted them and after some review I can assure you
all that Patchlink is better:
-more up to date product
and definately CHEAPER (not going to go in details on that, ask your
I really dont see any valide point at going with ZPM over Patchlink
Interesting.. How did you come to the conclusion that ZPM is a lite version?
If you are an existing Novell customer then the price is usually less expensive from Novell.

We are going to deploy Patchlink on our network. Each of our 2 servers
will service between 75 and 125 clients each (2 servers for 2 cities).
It is our understanding that the server will run on Windows XP
Professional SP1. The documentation is kind of contradictory because XP
is not listed in the system requirements for a production server, but it
is listed in one of the screen shots of the install routine.
My question is, if Patchlink will run on WinXP, will it also run on XP
service pack 2 (with the firewall disabled), or only on service pack 1?

The hotpatch has resolved my Optiplex GX745 boot issue, however I would like
to throw out some observations.
We have a script that reads the Image Safe Data and these are the changes I
`zisview Name` used to return the PC name value from the image safe data,
now it has changed to `zisview ComputerName`
`zisview Wrokgroup` used to return the workgroup value from the image safe
data, now it has changed to `zisview WindowsWrokgroup`
is the purpose of changing these attribute names a path forward for
something in the future?

Your patch management server should have it listed as a
report/vulnerability. All you need to do is set it up to install.

I recently attempted to patch GroupWise 6.5.4 with the most recent patch
6.5.6. After the update finished, I restarted the server, checked all
agents and noticed that they all were still running version 6.5.4.
However, the first time that I attempted the patch, and I got to the end
of the installation, I chose the option to automatically update the
startup files, and to start the PO and the Domain (after clicking
finish). When the domain and the PO started on the server (after I
clicked on finish), they where running 6.5.6, but when I restarted the
server and checked the ver...Patch Management Upgrade (220.127.116.110 to 6.4)

It will keep the serial number but you need to upgrade to SQL 2005 for the
