ZENworks Patch Management Patch 5 is out....I must be way behind because I
still have the base product installed. Where are these patches at? I
cannot seem to find any of them on Novell's website. Applying these
patches could very well fix my issue with my server not being able to
contact novell.patchlinksecure.net as well as the issue we are having
regarding the Discovery Agent using vast amounts of client CPU...

Ricardo,
are you asking how to compress your files? In a custom package you
would have to do this yourself, perhaps use winzip to compress, then
use a script to decompress at the workstation. To make this automatic,
you would need to buy the PDK (Patch Development Kit)

ZENworks Patch Management AgentHi
The Client/ZENworks Patch Management Agent produces following error message
Control Panel Message
An error has occurred while starting the control panel.
The control panel will now exit.
equal if I launch it through Control Panel -> ZENworks Patch Management Agent
or c:\WINDOWS\system32\GravitixControlPanel.cpl.
That happens on clients with Agent 6.3.2.700, only at the PLUS self it works.

ZENworks Patch Management Agent UtilityI downloaded the ZENworks Patch Management Agent Utility that Shaun Pond
posted on Cool Solutions:
When I unpack the zip file I have one file named zpmagentutility642420
with no extension.
The article references four .exe files.
Anyone know what is going on?
Thanks.
Patrick,
I know that there have been issues with some browsers - I used this link http://www.novell.com/communities/node/3361/zenworks-patch-management-agent-utility
to get the download, just tried it and it's fine, ...
ZENworks Patch Management Agent.log is corrupt...Server is W2K3 SP1, running ZEN Patch 6.3.2.700. I noticed on my server
console the following error:
"The file or directory \Program Files\Patchlink\UPdate Agent\ZENworks Patch
Management Agent.log" is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk
utility."
I logged in (as Admin-equivalent) and ran Chkdsk from the command line.
There were no reported errors.
I found the log file and noticed that it was 149 Mb in size.
Is that a problem or a common thing for it to be that big? We have 316
registered agents. I didn't attempt to open the file since 1). it wa...

ZDM7 SP1 Hot Patch (ZENworks 7 Desktop Managment SP1 Hot Patch 1)The hotpatch has resolved my Optiplex GX745 boot issue, however I would like
to throw out some observations.
We have a script that reads the Image Safe Data and these are the changes I
have notices.
`zisview Name` used to return the PC name value from the image safe data,
now it has changed to `zisview ComputerName`
`zisview Wrokgroup` used to return the workgroup value from the image safe
data, now it has changed to `zisview WindowsWrokgroup`
is the purpose of changing these attribute names a path forward for
something in the future?
On another note, can anyone who has ...

CHello,
We are currently running the Agent version:
Client Agent: 6.4.2.253
Detection Agent: 6.4.2.253
Patch Management Server: 6.4.2.1378

I checked GravitixService.exe and DAgent.exe, and these versions are still 6.4.2.253.

Zenworks Management Agent installHello,
We are about ready to rollout Zenworks 4.01 to all users. Of course the
management agent has to be installed on all workstations. I know we can do
it from the login script but does anybody have the switches for it so that
it will be transparent to the users? Is there a TID on how to do this?
Thanks
