According to this URL:
ZENworks Patch Management Patch 5 is out....I must be way behind because I
still have the base product installed. Where are these patches at? I
cannot seem to find any of them on Novell's website. Applying these
patches could very well fix my issue with my server not being able to
contact novell.patchlinksecure.net as well as the issue we are having
regarding the Discovery Agent using vast amounts of client CPU...Where is "22.214.171.124 ZENworks Patch Management Server Hotfix "

Your patch management server should have it listed as a
report/vulnerability. All you need to do is set it up to install.
Novell....it does a server good!

Please I am testing Custom Patch ZPM 6.4,
My problem is I don't know how many compress file.
Please someone knows this, Please tell me.

are you asking how to compress your files? In a custom package you
would have to do this yourself, perhaps use winzip to compress, then
use a script to decompress at the workstation. To make this automatic,
you would need to buy the PDK (Patch Development Kit)

...ZENworks Patch Management 6.3
We were using ZPM version 6.2.x for a while and had 400 clients
registered with the server. Many of the agents were older versions
because of compatibility issues with other software (we can't install
MSXML 4SP2). Because of that, we have most clients installed with
Two days ago I tried to upgrade the server to version 6.3 but didn't see
the upgrade instructions (why isn't that part of the documentation?). I
tried just using the download from the ZEN7 suite w/SP1 and the result
was I had to start completely from scratch. It removed the old vers...C
We are currently running the Agent version:
Client Agent: 126.96.36.199
Detection Agent: 188.8.131.52
Patch Management Server: 184.108.40.2068
Control Panel: 220.127.116.11
Notification Manager: 18.104.22.168
If i deploy the new patch: "C - ZENworks Patch Management Agent Upgrade for Windows from 6.0 or higher to 22.214.171.1248" it is installed fine (status: green), but after a reboot of this workstation the Client Agent is not changed and still 126.96.36.199.
I checked GravitixService.exe and DAgent.exe, and these versions are still 188.8.131.52.

This weekend I updated out 6.3 system to the 6.4 software and everything
seems to be working fine, except I can't find a package/vulnerabilities
that shows the new agent (184.108.40.206) to be installed. Currently most of my
agents are at 220.127.116.118. My Subscription Service History shows
vulnerabilities/licenses/packages status as all complete and successful is
True. I can install the new agent manually without problem. Anybody have
any ideas what to try next?

The best way to accomplish this is to edit the host file located in
%windir%\system32\drivers\etc\ directory. Create a new entry that will
resolve the old server name to 127.0.0.1.
This way, the MSDE Database will still be able to located the old

I recently attempted to patch GroupWise 6.5.4 with the most recent patch
6.5.6. After the update finished, I restarted the server, checked all
agents and noticed that they all were still running version 6.5.4.
However, the first time that I attempted the patch, and I got to the end
of the installation, I chose the option to automatically update the
startup files, and to start the PO and the Domain (after clicking
finish). When the domain and the PO started on the server (after I
clicked on finish), they where running 6.5.6, but when I restarted the
server and checked the ver...ZDM7 SP1 Hot Patch (ZENworks 7 Desktop Managment SP1 Hot Patch 1)
The hotpatch has resolved my Optiplex GX745 boot issue, however I would like
to throw out some observations.
We have a script that reads the Image Safe Data and these are the changes I
`zisview Name` used to return the PC name value from the image safe data,
now it has changed to `zisview ComputerName`
`zisview Wrokgroup` used to return the workgroup value from the image safe
data, now it has changed to `zisview WindowsWrokgroup`
is the purpose of changing these attribute names a path forward for
something in the future?

This patch replaces all the threadsafe patches I've sent except for the
subprocess filehandle array one. It threadsafes $AUTOLOAD, lock, and sort. It
exposes Perl_lock (with no corresponding lock() compatibility layer exposed,
since there's no need) to XS so you can take out a perl-level lock on things,
and still exposes the SvLOCK macro which now goes after a per-interpreter
lock instead of a per-sv one. There's also a change to use the atomic
increment and decrement code on Alphas running OpenVMS intead of the
per interpreter refcount mutex. Whether this is a performance w...
