Patched 6.5.4 with 6.5.6 but agents are still running 6.5.4I recently attempted to patch GroupWise 6.5.4 with the most recent patch
6.5.6. After the update finished, I restarted the server, checked all
agents and noticed that they all were still running version 6.5.4.
However, the first time that I attempted the patch, and I got to the end
of the installation, I chose the option to automatically update the
startup files, and to start the PO and the Domain (after clicking
finish). When the domain and the PO started on the server (after I
clicked on finish), they where running 6.5.6, but when I restarted the
server and checked the ver...
Client 6.5.5 and 6.5.6I am testing this before rolling it out to users--in the item lists, is
there a reason that the year no longer displays in the date column (We are
upgrading from SP2 and it is fine there)? It now reads mm/dd and the time
instead of mm/dd/yy and the time. This is also true of the header when you
open an item. It is particulalry a problem when looking at document
references. This is not unique to me, is it?
Found it--in the Options for date and Time--now, is it possible that the SP5
update changed the settings?

ZENworks 6.5 BetaDoes anyone know when the ZENworks 6.5 beta will be available?
Thanks,
Jim Webb
the plan was for sometime around this week, but that could also have
changed internally.
if you go to beta.novell.com, and login, then select the ZenWorks 6.5
Suite beta, there is a link there that you can sign up to have them
send you an email that the beta is ready.

WA 6.5 on NW 6.5 betaDecided to try out the latest and greatest. Set up a Netware 6.5 beta
3
server. All web services actually run fine, no problems.
Install Groupwise 6.5 and it destroys all web services and not even
Groupwise webaccess runs. When installing, I chose a port that was
unused
(82) to avoid these conflicts/problems, but when Apache 2 loads, just
about none of my original web services load (i.e. manager on port 2200
now
gives a 500 error) and webaccess isnt listing on 82 for whatever
reason.
You would think by now that Novell could produce these products so the

upgrade from 6.5.5 to 6.5.6Hi,
We are going to upgrade from 6.5.5 to 6.5.6 to hopefully solve the problem
with sending mail to yahoo. My question is do I have to upgrade
everything? On one server we have the MTA, GWIA, POA for our main
postoffice and webaccess. On the second server we have 4 other
postoffice's for our student email. Can I just upgrade the main server
with the MTA, GWIA, POA and webaccess and leave the other server alone at
6.5.5? If so will any reconfiguration be neccessary on the old post
offices?

How short? It's rather critical we know exactly when this product
will be released.

Can I install the 6.5 Trial version over the Beta version or should I

GWPOA 6.5.2 (6.5.3 beta)I was wondering if anyone was experiencing a rather large memory leak with
the latest GW65SP2 GWPOA agent. We've updated to the latest beta patch and
it's still doing it, even though they say they fixed a memory leak in this
updated beta.
It's installed on NW65SP2.
At the moment we're stopping and re-starting the GWPOA everyday. When it
loads it's taking about 15MB, but over a period of 24 hours it's risen to
153MB, and leave it much longer it will abend the server.
Any help would be appreciated.
John Beeson.

Client 6.5 patch to Beta filesI recently found out that Novell no longer provides an "English" language
set for their base Groupwise 6.5 product. Instead, they provide the buyer
with a Gw 6.5 Multilanguage version.
My difficulty with this is that in using the whole multilanguage and
attempting to create a beta client results in files not being updated to the
proper date (i.e grpWise claims to be 5665Kb and from Feb 2003) and the
complete install of the client being larger than usual.
What are the best practice for patching an original CD. The beta patch
suggest dropping the directories over to...
