I am trying to create boot disks to use to image our workstations. The problem is at least two of the net card drivers aren't included on the boot disks that zen4 makes. Example one of them is SMC EZ card 10/100 PCI SMC1211TX. Can anyone tell how get the linux driver for this card? Also the message I get is to check the documentation to see what cards are included. What documentation are they talking about? Dave

FYI - This should be under novell.support.zenworks.imaging no blood no foul though. ;) the "why" of this is simple: there are lots of nics.. and many new ones since Zen's release. They can't possibly have all of them in there.. fortunately it is not bad to add new ones. See TID 10070811 which goes into adding drivers to either the PXE files or the boot disks. Adding them to a boot disk is cake (an option while making disk 3) There is also a coolsolutions site with lots of pre-compiled drivers for newer nics out there. (as seen in Marcus Breiden's signature..) If you are searching for drivers or have already compiled one take a look at http://forge.novell.com/modules/xfmod/project/?zfdimgdrv Hope that helps! - Joe >>> Dave Winemiller<dwinem@leeca.org> 3/23/04 12:28:51 PM >>> I am trying to create boot disks to use to image our workstations. Dave, this question should be answered in the imaging forum - please ask there. -- Shaun Pond Novell Support Connection SysOp
