I have been trying to install the Patchlink agent onto my NetWare 6.5 SP5
servers and I having trouble getting it going.

Are there any established instructions for this....?

Delon,

the 6.3 agent? I have already raised a bug for this: untar the file at
the root of sys, and run sys:install.ncf

Hey, Shaun....

As soon as I put installation files in the root of the SYS volume and run
install.ncf from there, it worked fine.

Thanks for the help.

Delon,

yeah, I'm "disappointed" with the current docs - I /will/ get them
fixed...

On the subject of Netware, does the netware agent buy you anything ? I've =
only tested and installed it on one server, it was a 6.5 SP5 netware =
kernel based machine, I did not get any software / vulnerability's to show =
up ? I pretty much made the assumption it was more meant for OES Linux =
based systems.

Matt,

when I asked this question in my Novell Cool Blog
http://www.novell.com/coolblogs/?p=633 most responses said they weren't
using it, or were using it to ensure an inventory that covered all
platforms.
