Will it keep the Serial Number?

It will keep the serial number but you need to upgrade to SQL 2005 for the
upgrade to work.

2.16.6/2.17.6 (with customfield patch) upgrading to 2.18rc1Has anyone managed to apply a customfields patch on 2.18rc1?
Currently we have implemented one of the patches (in bug 91037) on
2.16.6 which is working as we would like, however we would also like
to have the extra features and future proof ability that the 2.18
branch offers, (i read 2.16 branch is being closed when 2.22 is
released).
We have also tested 2.17.6 with customfields which was running fine as
well.
I have tried going through cvs to update but it runs into many
problems.
What options are there? We would like to have customfields in 2.18.
Any help would be appre...
6.0.0.52 agents not upgrading to 6.0.2.97 using deploymentServer is W2K (fully-patched), was using ZENworks Patch Management Server
Version 6.0.0.52, now upgraded to 6.0.2.89.
Minor issue - When deployed using Local Time (and time is synched
appropriately with a time server), the upgrade did not take affect until
almost an hour later, but I don't have any settings/policy that would have
set that to happen that way.
ISSUE:
Trying to deploy 6.0.2.97 agent to 3 test W2K workstation clients (which
already have the 6.0.0.52 agent). Ran deploy.

Patched 6.5.4 with 6.5.6 but agents are still running 6.5.4I recently attempted to patch GroupWise 6.5.4 with the most recent patch
6.5.6. After the update finished, I restarted the server, checked all
agents and noticed that they all were still running version 6.5.4.
However, the first time that I attempted the patch, and I got to the end
of the installation, I chose the option to automatically update the
startup files, and to start the PO and the Domain (after clicking
finish). When the domain and the PO started on the server (after I
clicked on finish), they where running 6.5.6, but when I restarted the
server and checked the ver...
Upgrading from 6.0.1 to 6.0.2 #2Is it possible to have the Windows 95/98 clients on version 6.0.1 while the
server is on 6.0.2? (This is realy a logistics issue as it takes some time
for us to get around to all our PCs to do the upgrade). If there are any
pitfalls to having the server temporarily on one version and the clients on
another, I'd be like to get some thoughts. Thanks.

Upgrading 4.0 to 5.0 then 6.0 or go straight to 6.0Hi All,
I think the subject speaks for itself
Thanks in advance
Mustafa
You should have no trouble going straight to 6 from 4. Once you do this, go
back and get rid of the obsolete function calls.

HelpWe have Bugzilla 3.4.6 installed on Windows server 2003. Is there an
installer that will do all the upgrades together (Bugzill, mysql, perl)?

We have added some custom fields, modified the "workflow" and made
changes to some system fields. What is the best approach?

We downloaded the file bugzilla-4.0.2.tar.gz, unzipped it to another
folder. The unzipping didn't add a mysql folder or a data to the new
folder . Is it because an older folder exists? What are the next steps?
Do we just copy the data folder from the old bugz...
Upgrade 6.0.2 to 6.0.3?I'm currently running Adaptive Server Anywhere Database Engine Version
6.0.2.2422.
Should I upgrade to 6.0.3, and if so, what is the proper procedure? (I
downloaded
a 6.0.3 EBF but it warned me that I was about to install 6.0.3 over 6.0.2,
and I
wasn't sure whether I should proceed.)

Hi Brian,
i think you first have to install the upgrade from 6.02 to 6.03 and the 6.03
EBF.

upgrading from 6.0.4 to 6.5.4I'm using the mapped drive auto upgrade method so the user can install the
new client himself. Question I have is there any way to eliminate
the "workstation" option from coming up during the install so I can make
sure everyone does the "Standard" 51mb install? I know
I can set thing up in the set.cfg file, can I set that up there? Or
anywhere?
Any help would be appreciated - RJM
Just use setup.cfg to set the install the way you want, then alter
setup.ini to get rid of the language prompt and you should be good to go -

Upgrading from 6.0.1 to 6.0.2Is it necessary to run dbupgrade when upgrading from 6.0.1 to 6.0.2? I
have already run dbupgrade to upgrade the database from SQLA to ASA
under 6.0.1.
DBUpgrade is generally only necessary IF:
1. New version of database has new features
2. Features require some internal changes (like system table changes, log
file format)
3. You want to take advantage of the new features.
If you have an application that is working and it is not changing and
upgrade is not required.
