Application Log logging

Shaun,
I have been getting complaints from our techs here about the huge
amount of entries Patchlink is writing to the Application log.  The
problem is when they are trying to troubleshoot a problem on a PC, the
application log has filled up with the Zenworks Patch Management Agent
entries, pushing out the entries they need for troubleshooting.
Aside from increasing the size of the Event logs, is there a way to
"throttle" down the entries Patchlink is making?

what level do you have the agent logging set to?

It is at Debug...which I am assuming is the problem :-)
So, if I lower it to Basic, how much will that decrease the number of
entries per 24 hours?

lowering to basic will take out a huge number - you'd need to reduce to 
none to get rid of most...

I lowered it to None, and it still writes 3 lines a minute to the Event
Viewer Application Log.  Or 180 an hour...or 4320 in 24 hours..or...
It is amazing that this annoyance has been in their hands since 2005
without a resolution.  I don't unserstand why they can't direct these
messages to the Patchlink Log in the EV instead of the Appl Log.
