10.2.2 to 10.3.2 direct upgrade?

So we've been struggling with Zen 10 for a long time and we just
recently worked with Novell on going directly from 10.2.2 to 10.3.1 on
the clients without having to reboot multiple times... is there going to
be a 10.2.2 to 10.3.2 upgrade? Because it sounds like we're going to
have to reboot twice again??

Also out of curiosity I did a "Check for Updates" and my "Update for
ZCM 10.2.x to ZCM 10.3.1" was removed... yay. :-(

NOTE: We have not deployed 10.3.1 yet as we're still working out issues
with our sat. servers. This has taken so long that a new release has
come out...

Jcsmith1,

there is a build that can do this, but it has very specific
requirements (you must first upgrade all your servers for example) and
so it's not made public. We ask that you open a Service Request, so
that our guys can work alongside you and make sure nothing gets
broken...

Our servers are running 10.3.1, but not our clients which are still at
10.2.2. When we started upgrading to 10.3 we found an issue which
affected our clients and Novell said it would be fixed in 10.3.1. Then
we found some issues with our sat. servers and we're continuing working
with Novell before upgrading the clients to 10.3.1.

So the question is will Novell have an option to upgrade directly from
10.2.2 to 10.3.2 without requiring multiple reboots either going from
10.2.2 to 10.3.1 then to 10.3.2 or 10.2.2 to 10.3.0a to 10.3.1. to
10.3.2.

This update is only applicable to servers running ZCM 10.3 onwards. You
cannot upgrade servers from ZCM 10.2.2 or earlier versions with this
update. Workstations to be upgraded must have the agent version 10.2 or
later installed.

How much reboots can i expect when i do an upgrade from 10.3.0 to 11.
clients are on the same level.
And do they have to reboot. I've never did an upgrade in production
:)...
So user logs in.. and on the background the agent is updating
automatic, and then can people work? or do they have to reboot
once/twice?

Floort,

to 11, is one reboot. A reboot is necessary to pick up the new code -
the agent won't work until that happens.

10.2.2 to 10.3.2 upgrade path
Hi, What is the recommended way to upgrade 10.2.2 to 10.3.2? 1. Upgrade primaries and satelittes to 10.3.0a via SU, manually selecting the servers 2. Upgrade primaries, satelittes and devices to 10.3.2 via SU and stages. Do I need to upgrade all the devices with 10.3.0a before going to 10.3.2 or will the 10.3.2 upgrade do this for me as long as the 10.3.0a update is downloaded and available? Upgrade from 10.2.0 to 10.2.2
Is there a direct migration path from 10.2.0 to 10.2.2? In my ZCC, the following updates are 'Baselined': 10.1.1, 10.1.2a and 10.1.3. Not everyone is running Support Pack 2 for 10.2 so it isn't 'Baselined'. I have an option for 10.3, but it doesn't show 10.2.1 or 10.2.2. Agent updated from 10.2.1 to 10.2.2
We have a few thousand machines in our company and recently deployed an agent update from 10.2.1 to 10.2.2. Out of these machines we have 400 that give errors. We have 40 machines that say "Installing" We have about 20 machines that say "awaiting reboot" And the rest say "Update Assigned" I don't see any Zenworks errors in the event logs of the individual PCs so not sure what is causing the agent to not install. For the machines that say "awaiting reboot" we already rebooted them using another software package. For the ones that ...

Anyone got 10.2.2 agent on 10.3.0a server

Upgrade 10.2.2 -> 10.3.1 in one step?
Is it possible to do a clean upgrade directly from 10.2.2 to 10.3.1? We skipped 10.3.0a because of an issue where deploying the agent caused an automatic reboot without prompting regardless of the selection, assuming we'd be able to skip over it when the new one came out. Now we can either do 10.3.0 to 10.3.1 in turn, or uninstall the agent followed by a reinstall of the new version, both require two reboots (but at least uninstalling prompts). I don't really understand why this is the case when the packaged agent installs directly to 10.3.1 with no middle steps. Is there a...
