PXE imaging not working

Boy am I getting frustrated trying to get this PXE imaging to work. If
I turn on the PC, which has no working OS on it, PXE starts and then
just says ZENWORKS SHUTTING DOWN, with no explanation. IF I hit
CRTL-ALT and go to maintenance mode, and select START IMAGING. it does
a bunch of stuff then says NO WORK TO DO. If I hit CTRL-ALT and select
maintenance mode I can manually image the workstation. The workstation
does not have an eDir object in the tree. I have done a ZISEDIT -C on
the workstation. The ZEN policies are setup correctly. ANyone have any
ideas on how to get this working.

thanx
steve

weinstein@dor.state.ma.us,

You might have to post pxe logs, but can I ask a couple questions first?

You are aware that if a workstation has never been imported before, that
the server imaging policy is used? Also, if a workstation has been imaged,
then the workstation imaging policy is used.

If this is understood, then could you post a pxe log from a workstation
that does not work.

A few things have changed in imaging which can cause hardware to be
reported differently than before. Thus if you have imaging rules, it's
possible that they need to be adjusted.

There is no Edir object for the workstation and no workstation imaging
policy configured. The server imaging policy is configures.
the PXE log follows.

What is your rule? I don't even see it check for the rule you have set
in the server package imaging policy.

Kurt,

It looks as if there is trouble with the imaging service. Would you agree?

Ok......
So, if you take a workstation object that is already imported....Check the
box "Take an image" or "Put image" on next reboot. Does that work at all?

I tried reinstalling zen 7with sp1 and imaging still did not work, it
did not create a zis-server object. SO I did an install using zen 65
this did create the zis-server object. I then installed zen 7with sp1
over it and inaging works fine now.

PXE imaging-default image
Right place/wrong place? I only see one thread in this forum on imaging...nothing on the other 4 zfd4 forums specifically to imaging so I could be in wrong place. I have managed to get PXE imaging to work, used it to take an image of a workstation that is what we want the rest of the units to look like. Now I want to use PXE to multicast this image to a ton of machines newly unpacked out of box. There is no workstation object for these dudes, they are new, never-before-been-on-the-network boxes. From what I've read, there is supposed to be a way to define a default imag...

Where to create image to be used on ZENworks imaging
Again, I went through the documentations and they do not indicate where I can create an image that I can have the ConsoleOne to select the image and I already created the boot disk which I can boot up a workstation to be imaged. Any ideas?? Send the image to the a server running ZEN imaging. Any volume, but I normally setup a directory or volume just for ZEN images. -- Timothy Leerhoff Novell Support Forum Sysop Example: server\volume\imgs Darrell Eddy "Alex Petersen" <amp.pci@gmail.com> wrote in message news:KZsqi.5520$oH4.4266@prv-forum2....

Does image cache still work if the same image is resized
Hi I was wondering if anyone could help.I currently have a website that displays images, first as a grid of thumbnails and then when the user clicks on the image it shows them the full sized image. Currently these images are read from a server then resized and finally uploaded to the server. Currently I have the image resizer making two copies one thumbnail and one full size (although still resized from 1200x1200 to 600x600)I was wondering though if I was to use one image (the 600x600) and resize that to 120x120 using the <img style="width:120px; height:120px;" /> would cache...

It appears to work, and Thunderbird acts as if the email is sent, BUT IT IS NOT. I repeat, no email is sent! I've used the feature many times, and each time, the email appears to be sent - but NO ONE RECIEVES IT! I finally found this out the h...

Displaying image from database(image datatype) to image control
Hie all...I'm a newbie at asp.net. I m currently using asp.net 2.0.I m having a problem with displaying images on my web form. Have tried looking thru all codes but i can't find a step by step tutorial for doing so. I understand that in asp.net 1.1, the detailsview can automatically be linked to the image field and display the image. But this is not possible now. So, i have decided to just display the image in an image control.from my understanding, 1. retrieve image from database and convert it to temporary image file in a file path. 2. use the image control's imageurl to point to the file....

Display image from image
Let me explain more. I have a Gridview, that displays an image.  Then i have a detailsview displaying an image from the selected value in the gridview.  Simple.  When i click on one of the images from the gridview, it displays the correct image in the detailsview.  Basically, i have two images in each row of the table in the database. The only way this works is if i have "autogenerateselectbutton=true" set.  I do not want the select link next to my image.  I want to be able to pick on the image in the GridView, and have it show the correct image in...
