Active Directory account authentication issues
Is anyone familiar with using Digest Authentication with AD? A customer
is using that for web authentication (vs. Basic Authentication).
They are stating that manually created AD accounts can authenticate
using Digest Authentication but accounts created using the AD driver
can not. I've never heard of this before now.
Thanks in advance!

I have an application that is working correctly on my local machine, but when I transfer it up to the server the application has now lost the ability to pull back information from Active directory which it needs. I have found that if I add <identity impersonate="true" /> and then remote into the server the app is on the and run it the app will now work correctly. However if I am not remotely logged into the server and try to use the app I get an error. I can add my network username and password to the identity impersonate = true and then the app will wo...Active Directory Support

I am having a bit of a problem, that I am not sure how to fix. When I
migrate a user on the Active Directory Driver (does not happen on my
eDirectory or Lotus Notes Drivers), if the user is associated not all
attributes are synchronized. Specifically, my custom schema attributes
are not read and thus not synchronized. If I migrate an unassociated
user on the AD Driver, all attributes are queried and read.
Can anyone explain to me why? Has anyone else every seen this

Hi to all, I am very close to completing a visualstudio application that will perform pretty much any aspect of administering a user account in active directory. The idea behind it is to create one required, standard way in which data is entered and maintained in our directory. There is only one thing that is left on my list and I have no idea how to perform it. Since our domain i pretty big there are a bunch of groups in the directory that grant account operators different rights to different OUs. What I really want to do is restrict those rights in the MMC snap-in for example, but bein...iFolder on W2k

Our version is IDM 3.5, the vault is running on a netware 6.5 server and
we have the Active Directory driver configured. The AD driver is
running on a Windows server 2003 machine that is a domain controller for
our AD forest. The system has been up and working relatively reliably
for several years, recently the password of the AD user that the AD
driver uses was accidentally changed. In the ensuing confusion we
attempted to change the passwords that were configured for the AD driver
(via Imanager) and that appears backfired and the AD driver will not
run. The trace screen reports...Renaming accounts in Active Directory

I don't spend much time on this message board, but I use it occasionally.
