Error reading source file
A good friend of mine told me that he wanted to install netware 5.1 on his laptop. yes you read it correctly on his laptop. so i want ahead and tried to install netware. but dr-dos tells me "Error reading source file" or something like that. the file that has trouble reading is the server.exe file. so what do i do now? it is also going to run under wireless. one last thing, the laptop is a HP nx6110 notebook from 2005. -- anthonycastro ------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am trying to copy a folder from the file server to a backup drive on a client machine. Novell Netware 4.11, Windows XP clients. Some of the folder will be copied...then the above error shows up. Sometimes the name of a file will be there...ie Error copying xxx.doc, Cannot read from Source File or disk. Yet, when you go to the server...that file will open fine...and copy fine if you copy it individually. This happens on all the machines on the network (4)..not just one machine. "Error reading setup initialization file" after AV install
Has anyone encountered this error? It occurs after login, and when I stop and restart the App Launcher. I have been testing a login script deploy of Symantec AV client version 9.0.1.1000, and after a successful AV client upgrade from ver 8.0 via login script, the App Launcher now reports the above error in a dialog box. I have uninstalled/reinstalled same ZfDAgent version (4.0.1.4), installed a later version (4.0.1.17), and the error persists. I have also noticed that the F2-More screen shows "Not Using Workstation Helper" in the upper right. Any ideas? Thanks, -...

Hi, I'm running Netware 6.5 SP4 and I'm having trouble deleting a directory that has a few subdirectories under it. I'm getting a "Cannot delete file, cannot read from source file or disk". On my client machine I'm running Novell Client 4.91 SP2 and Windows XP SP2. I've also tried a different client machine. Yes, I made sure nobody had the file open.
