I just did this last week and had no problems. One key thing to note is =
that you should not upgrade your version 5.5 GWIA until AFTER all of your =
MTA's & POA's are upgraded. The v6.5 MTA/POA will work with the older =
GWIA, but the older POA/MTA will not work with the new GWIA.

groupwise 5.5 on netware [to] groupwise 6.5 on windowsHello all,
I am trying to search everywhere I can to find someone with the same setup
as I'm encountering and looking for any type of documenation available on
this subject and I can't find it.
Can anyone here help me in the direction I need to go with this? I have a
netware/groupwise 5.5 machine and I want to move this to a new groupwise
6.5 domain on a windows 2003 box. How can I migrate this over? I see
options for migrating from netware to netware using the migration tool and
also see some links on migrating netware to linux but not to windows?
Anyone help?

Groupwise 5.5 on Netware 6.5Is there any reason why I can't run Groupwise 5.5 on Netware 6.5? Has
anyone done this and are there any problems\things to be aware of.
As far as I am aware there is no reason why it should not work, but
this would
not be supported so please test it first!

Groupwise 5.5 and Netware 6.5Groupwise 5.5 - webaccess (plus POA, MTA and GWIA) is running on server A.
Novonyx web server is running on Server B (netware 5.1).
I have upgraded server A to 6.5. No issues with Groupwise.
To upgrade server B to netware 6.5, which services should I install apart
from basic. Or any procedures? To access via web anything changes?
Thanks
Kumar
Personally, I always install everything, and rem-out the ones I don't
need.
That way, they do get patches, but is available if needed later

Netware 5.0+Groupwise 6.0 -->> Netware 6.0+Groupwise 6.5Hi.
We've got a Netware 5.0 server running Groupwise 6.0 and we would like
to
upgrade it to Netware 6.0 with Groupwise 6.5. What's the safest way of
doing this? We've got a spare server where we can dump things
temporarily.
Should we upgrade Groupwise first or Netware?
Thanks...

Personally, I'd upgrade Netware first, make sure GW works in it's
current config and then upgrade GW....

GroupWise 5.5, WebAccess and Netware 6.5We are upgrading our servers from Netware 4.11 to 6.5. We are trying to get
webaccess 5 to work under Netware 6.5 with Apache2 and Tomcat. We have the
server set up, apache2 and tomcat seem to work fine (we can get to the
netware 6.5 page from internet explorer). We install webaccess 5 with no
errors and it loads up on our server with no problems. We then tried
webaccess and the main page is still the netware 6.5 page, the webaccess
page is not displaying. We copied and moved some files around and are able
to get to a page where we select the language, we select English (only

groupwise 5.5 to 6 under netware 5.0Is it possible to upgrade groupwise 5.5 to 6 running on netware 5.0? has
anyone done this? if so, what are the required steps to prepare a single
5.0 server for this upgrade? where can I find the patch file to start?
Thanks
Yes, GW6.5 was originally supported on 5.0 and I know of nothing that
will stop this upgrade.
I would however ask you to start thinking of upgrading to ensure that
you are able to run Sequoia when it is released...

Intellisync 5.1.1 and GroupWise 5.5.5I am trying to sychronize my Palm to-do list with Groupwise. When I
sync I
get one of two error messages in a dialog labled "Pilot connector."
The
messages are "Unable to read application data" or "Unable to complete
translataion. I tried the solution in "Answer ID 1737" (clearing "log"
file etc and resyncing). I also cleared all the tasks out of Groupwise
and
ran GWCHK32 and made sure the account database was not corrupted (I'm
the
GroupWise Admin). Upon syncing I still got the "translation" message.

Netware 5.1, Netware 5.1 SP6, Netware 5.1 SP8, NiciI'm building a test network that is currently a mess. This network will be
used to test the migration of my 10 netware 5.1 Sp 6 servers to NW 6.5. I'm
putting two netware 5.1 servers and one MS 2003 server into the test
network. Testserver 1 is a 5.1 SP6 server with a master replica. When
installing Testserver 2 using the NW51SP6 overlay, the installation failed
with a css.nlm "waiting for xmgr" error. Consequently, I was going to create
a 5.1 server and then install the SP6 overlay or the SP6 depending on what
worked best. My NW51 original disks are scratched and...
