First of all, let me say that our unix administration group uses various=20=

distros of linux, and we're not all switching to suse. Secondly, I've=20
had decent luck with the groupwise 6.5 client, however the 7.0 client=20
refuses to run. Is there a list of libraries required to run 7.0?

Here's the problem i run into:

(nik@kaizoku)/opt/novell/groupwise/client/bin $ ./groupwise.sh
Error occurred during initialization of VM
java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Object

so the next thing I do is check my ld_library_path:

(nik@kaizoku)/opt/novell/groupwise/client/bin $ echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
/lib:/usr/lib:/usr/local/lib:/opt/novell/groupwise/client/jre/lib/i386:/opt=
/sun-jdk-1.4.2.09/jre/lib/i386

good so far.. we have java 1.4.2 and novell's java lib paths. the next=20
thing I do is check on the library links of some of the files in=20
novell's java lib directory:

(nik@kaizoku) /opt/novell/groupwise/client/jre/lib/i386 $ ld libJdbcOdbc.so=

Groupwise 8 Linux client problem
Hi, Has anyone here tried the Groupwise 8 Linux client with a Cisco Anyconnect SSL VPN? If I connect directly to my internal network the Groupwise starts no problems. When I have a VPN running, the client sits at the splash screen for at least 2-3 minutes before bringing up the password/PO dialog. The really odd thing is that during this time I don't see *any* traffic coming from the Linux client. Any help appreciated. groupwise 6.5.3 linux client, caching mode problems
The send/retrieve function in the linux client hangs frequently. I'll see it send to the gwserver, but then nothing ever comes back. I'll usually have to do a "killall groupwise" from a bash prompt, and restart it to make it do a send/retrieve. One other annoying thing about the linux client, is when you start it in caching mode, even though you have configured it to show the send/retireve screen, the client screen will pop up over that on startup and hide it. Groupwise Linux Client
Hello, I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on how to force the client to ask for a username each time instead of retaining the user id of the last person who logged in. GroupWise Client for Linux
Where can I get a GroupWise Client for Linux? Furthermore, is there one that would be compatible with GroupWise 5.5? My understanding is that the newer (major) revisions of a given GroupWise client are not compatible with the older versions of GroupWise (ie: the 6.5 client can't open a mailbox on a 5.5 post office), although the reverse works. Move Linux GW7 to new Linux Server
Hello: I have a Linux GroupWise 7.0.2 system that I need to move to new server hardware. The current server is SLES 10 (non SP1). The new server is SLES 10 SP1. How would I go about doing that? Can I just: 1. Install eDirectory on the new server and add it to the tree. 2. Install GroupWise 7.0.2 on the new system. 3. Copy the GroupWise domain and post office directories from the old system to the new system (would be in the same location). 4. Change the eDir objects to point to the new IP address. 5. Start the MTA/GWIA on the new server. Or, is there something else that I wo...
