A lazy person would delete the GWIA object, and the directory structure
and reinstall. It's pretty obviously the file acct it doesn't like, and
you could TRY just deleting that.

I've never heard of a setup like that before, I'd guess the problem with
the acct file is down to the connection between the servers. Any
particular reason for setting it up this way ?

Cheers Dave

ALWAYS!

You always want the GWIA local to its parent domain.
Of course you could install another MTA on the GWIA machine and install
a new GWIA under that, and link the two MTAs via IP

As Mike says, it is much better (pretty much mandatory) to have the owning
domain and the GWIA on the same machine. But what really got me was
splitting the actual GWIA working/logging directories between the two
machines, that was completely new to me <g>, and one I'd definitely put in
the 'don't try this at home' section.

Cheers Dave

1) yes, definitely - remember to copy the gwac.db from your exiting GWIA,
and possibly also gwia.cfg if you've done much hacking about in that.

2) - You can only really have one GWIA per server, ports clash. There are
ways round it with multi homing tricks, but it is seldom worth the bother

Mostly. To clarify, the GWIA can be on any server, but said server
should also host it's parent domain, and all it's directory structure.

this is also true of WebAccess btw.

Hi, I hope someone can help. I need to convert an Excel spreadsheet to an ASCI text file, in order to import data into a datawindow.
