Added a new server HCCS-NW1, NW65sp6. Added a R/W replica of root. (Stuck in 'new' state) Time sync between all servers if perfect. Found DIGESTMD5 in Security, Authorized login methods. Can not delete. How do I 'fix' this? replica stuck in dying state and new replica stuck in new state
Hi Everyone: Here is the situation: NetWare OES 6.5 being added to eDirectory 8.7.3 SP3 tree running on five other NetWare 5.1 SP 7 servers. All NetWare 5.1 servers are communicating using both IP and IPX; 6.5 server is only using IP. Had to replace NetWare 6.5 server (server1); deleted replica from replica ring using ConsoleOne. Received an OK. Installed 6.5 on new server (server2); joined tree and created new OU. 24 hours later, see replica rings with replica on server1 in dying state (error -699) and replica on server2 in new state. R/W replica in New state.
We have done no changes that we know of. But 2 of our R/W replica's are showing New State for about 5 days now. They are located over our WAN but appears to be communicating properly. TimeSync all show OK. But when I do a Report SYNC status. I get -761 errors. Also a -646 on a user object which I think might be an issue. But I can't delete the object. Dstrace is showing replica not on -673 and also replica in skulk -698. The only problem that I have noticed is arcserve can't login to the server. R/W replicas stuck in "New Replica" and "Begin Add"
I had a little crisis earlier where one of my three NDS servers crashed. Each server holds approx 200 partitions. (A mixture of Master, R/W, Read-only) Anyway, after fixing the server and placing it back into the tree and adding the partitions back in, I have about 5 partitions that just refuse to play nice. They are stuck in either a "New Replica" state or a "Begin Add" state. Hi all, we use a pure Linux Environment OES1 and OES2 with eDir 8.8. I tried to fix the timestamps in our Tree via fix Timestamps and declare new epoch in iManager. 4.11 server stuck in new replica state
Hi I am hoping someone can help me. We are trying to install a 4.11 server into a 5.1 tree however everytime we try to install DS the replica get stuck in a new state. I just installed a new Netware OES server into a tree with 3 existing Netware OES/6.5 SP3 servers. All 4 are running eDIR. V.8.7.3.5. For some reason the R/W replica on my new server is stuck in the new state. I don't remember telling it to create a replica but it may have decided it knew best as it is in a container by itself though part of the same tree as others.
