"Server Operator" doesn't work with Group Object
Hi, I created a Group in eDir and added several users to the group. I then added the group to the property "Server Operator" on the server object. However, this does not appear to give the users the "server operator" priviledges. If I add the users directly to the "server operator" list, then they get the necessary access. Is this working as designed or is this a "bug". Thanks.

Given that this "bug" has existed since 4.0, I assume it is working as intended. Under 3.x, you could make a group a server operator and the group members did receive operator rights. John

Its WAD -- Server Operator gets a security equivalent (more or less) and users are SE to the Group object ... and since SEs are not transitive (ie passed on from one level to another) ... -- Peter eDirectory Rules!

Its actually not very obvious, until you make the connection that Server Operator is really a SE assignment ... then the other pieces will fall into place <g> -- Peter eDirectory Rules!

Gridview height="300px" works but height="40%" doesn't work
I want to divide to top-half (40%), bottom-half(60%). So I can put a gridview in top-half with scroll and put a chart in bottom-half. So when users with different resolution can see same table layout. But the problem is that if I set the gridview as pixel(such as 300px), it works. If I put the percentage(such as 40%), gridview just shows the whole data(which is more than 40% of height) even thought it supposed to limit its hieght to 40% and make it scrollable. Hi, I want to use "ldapmodify" command to modify the membership of user/group on edir. From "cool solution" I found "Group Membership Updater" to do that. So I create a basic driver on identity vault and imported the XML it provided. After I run ldapmodify command to add a user into a group, I checked on edir and found that the group does contain this user. But the user's membership is still empty. HI, I have multiple reports in ASP.Net web application which I created using Visual Studio 2005. I'm using the ReportViewer for these reports and they all work fine on development. NetWare "Send Message" doesn't display groups
We have a group of users that has come to rely on the NetWare "Send Message" utility to send popups back and forth. Since we upgraded their primary server to NW6 though, they can see users attached to that server, but not groups. I've suggested NetWare Messenger, but they don't want to learn something new, and anyway NM doesn't appear to have a way to send a popup broadcast to a group. Any ideas? Keep Mail on Server "Until i Delete Them" Doesn't work
When I tell Thunderbird to keep mail on the server until I delete them, it never deletes the mail from the server. I'll highlight a bunch of mail, press the delete key, and empty the trash. I'll even compact the folders, check mail, restart Thunderbird and check mail again, but the deleted mail is still on the server. I don't want to delete mail when I move it out of the inbox, just when I delete it by putting it in the trash. Any ideas? Hi, I've a Novell Groupwise 8.0.0 server running on Netware 6.5. The newest NLMs which came with GroupWise 8.0.1 are _NOT_ loaded. The users use the Novell Client 4.91 sp5 to logon the network.
