your support? department for Firefox issues is nothing but a circular
maze of unbelievably confusing information that is of no use for the
layman and I would dump this piece of trash if I didn't need it for
certain websites. I don't know how to reprogram the many bugs or fix
the many websites broken by this thing and its "error console" with no
directions as to what to do with it. What is it's purpose if there is
no help function for it? ...
Is TB hiding mozilla.support.thunderbird messages from me?Yesterday I started a thread about some TB problem:
http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.support.thunderbird/browse_thread/thread/e54a0eb52fa15bf1
All of a sudden the whole thread disappeared from the messages list. I
deleted the mozilla.support.thunderbird subscription, verified that the
respective .msf file was really deleted from my profile, and subscribed
again.
The thread appeared again - marked with a red dot with a white dash
inside in the 'threaded' column.
a) What does that mean?
A few minutes later the thread disappeared again.
b) Why could that be?...
"This Account Only Supports Email Recipients" and my emails to Mozilla.support.Thunderbird won't send?Resorting to the Google groups because suddenly I cannot send to my trusty newsgroup.
A pop up indicating "this account only supports email recipients" (seems straight forward enough) stops the 'send' and then, if ignored, basically says "Hey, you have not chosen to send to an email recipient, send failed."
This is happening in "old trusty" email accounts that I've sent from in the past and then in a new one. Outgoing email is thru Godaddy account (my domain) and I've used it for some time.

Message: Confirm "Would you like to subscribe to mozilla.support.thunderbird"Today, every time I either
1. click on mozilla.support.thunderbird (under news.mozilla.org), or
2. click Get Mail (when I'm looking at mozilla.support.thunderbird)
I get a dialog box with the above message. No matter how many times I click
"yes", I still get the dialog box the next time. If I click "No", I get
an hourglass. Also, when I try to search messages in the newsgroup, I get
"A News (NNTP) error occurred: syntax error or unknown command." I don't
know if this is related, so I mention it.

Thank you in advance.

Does Mozilla support messages with message/partial subtype? We have a scanner that scans documents and emails it to the users. For
large files, the messages are broken up into several messages that are
assembled into one message at the Outlook client's end.
Is there a way of achieving this function with Mozilla? I have looked at
external programs like uudeview but it looks a little cumbersome for end users.
Any suggestions?

yEnc support in Thunderbird? When will Thunderbird get yEnc and multipart support?

Good question... yEnc in Thunderbird it's working now but only with
single part messages.
There is a patch waiting for review from David Bienvenu about multipart
messages.
See bug 119964 "Support yEnc encoding (including multipart)"

Mozilla Thunderbird: Emails disappeared
Need to recover several lost emails
The strange thing is that disappeared several emails from a specific
date, day to day 20/09/2010 20/10/2010.
Information are several professionals who need to recover.
I checked all kinds of support and forums on the issue I'm going, but
nothing was effective.
I await response.

Yenc support in Thunderbird?
Hooraayy! I've gotten access to some binaries groups again.
So the natural question arises: How do I view Yenc-coded images the
fastest and easiest way (without changing away from Thunderbird...) :-)
Explanations in "spoon-fulls" if possible :-)

message not posting at support.thunderbirdI've been trying to post a message relating to a sorting issue
with TB newsgroup m.s.TB that included a screenshot attachment
showing the problem, (The problem being a few June 2010 posts
amidst the descending sort predominately from Oct 2011).
Are "attachments" un-supported even though the option to do
so are enabled?
Thanks,
Bill

How to filter for support-thunderbird messagesI've had problems using Thunderbird to filter some of my mailing list
messages into their own folders. While the typical filters for To:/Cc:
or Subject: work just fine for ordinary email, some mailing lists don't
include a standard List ID element in their subject and some don't
include the mailing list name in the To: or Cc: address.
This Thunderbird Support list is an example of a list that doesn't have
a standard subject, but I thought it was consistently addressed to
"support-thunderbird@lists.mozilla.com." However I just received the

Improving system messages to support webpages and moreHi All,
We're currently struggling a bit with a couple of things for system
messages. For background on system messages, see the thread here
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.webapi/o8bkwx0EtmM/discussion
However the current implementation of system messages only works well
for apps where either
* The app consists of only a single webpage.
* The app wants to always navigate the user to a specific page
whenever there's an incoming message of the given type.
In other cases the app risks navigating the user as soon as there's an
incoming message, wh...
