Using Active Directory as LDAP for Bugzilla 2.8.1
I have successfully built Bugzilla V 2.8.1 on a Windows 2003 server
following the great set of instruction provided by Byron Jones at
Now I'm trying to set it up to use our active directory for
authentication using the instruction at:
and section 2.3.5 of the Bugzilla Guide - 2.18.1 Release.
I'm now getting the following error in my browser:

I am trying to setup Active Directory LDAP authentication on Bugzilla
3.2.2 but getting following error

I'm trying to get Bugzilla 2.18rc3 to authenticate against Active
Directory. I've read the manual, done copious Web and newsgroup
searches, double-checked everything I can think of, and I feel certain
that I'm on the very cusp of success . . . but it's still not working.
Here's the configuration I'm using:
Bugzilla 2.18rc3 running on Fedora Core 2
Perl 5.8.3 with Net::LDAP and all the required and optional modules for
Active Directory running on Windows 2003
In Bugzilla, here are the LDAP settings:

All those three methods use of course the same algorithm, so it is not

I seem to be having a problem getting Bugzilla 2.17.4 running on Red Hat
9/Apache working with Active Directory LDAP. Net::LDAP is installed.
I've configured the Active Directory to allow anonymous binds and then I enter
my BaseDN in the form of "DC=mycompany,DC=com" The LDAPuidattribute is set to
the default of uid and the LDAPmailattribute is set to the default of mail.
The problem is that all logins are rejected with bad password when I flip the
loginmethod switch to LDAP.
