Is it possible to show the total messages and the unread messages under Newsgroups Folders?

I thought this is a nice features to have so we know how many UNREAD
response since our last visit to any newsgroup. Knowing mozilla
programmers, this should be easily implemented(if not yet) and
configurable using the prefs or Chrome customization.

Thanks

On the servers/groups side and just above the scrollbar is a little
widget icon. Click on it and choose what you want displayed.

And if you don't see it, then go to

Options -> Advanced -> General Settings -> Show expanded columns in the
folder pane

and check it.

Noooo ... not that .....
Click the newsgroup server -> then, Subscribe -> Manage Newsgroup
subscriptions. There you'll see all available newsgroups with little [+]
if collapse or [-] if expanded. Well, I want to expand all, instead of
clicking those [+] to expand 50,000 newsgroup. That's one. The other
is, another nice features of Outlook Express, it lets you display(in
expanded form): All Newsgroups and/or Subscribed Newsgroups.

Thanks.

Heeee? What is the relation between that and "I thought this is a nice
features to have so we know how many UNREAD response since our last
visit to any newsgroup."?

You said " ... how many UNREAD ..." and I gave you the answer for that.
Now, what does this have to do with expanding/collapsing
subscribe/unscribed news groups?

Folder panel only shows unread count for each folder -- Also unsent messages question
I have just migrated my email client from Netscape 7.2 to Thunderbird 1.5.0.7 Installed OK and everything is up and running satisfactory. However, in Netscape the folder panel showed the number of unread and total messages in columns for each folder and Thunderbird is only showing the unread number in parenthesis. The info is still there at the bottom right on the status bar for the current folder, but it is not all out at once on the folder panel. Not a deal-killer by any means, but is there some option or reliable extension that will give me back this feature? Also w...

Showing total message size for messages not yet downloaded
I have Thunderbird set to NOT download messages over a certain size from the server. In the 'size' column, messages that are still on the server due to size show up as only 2kb or so, I.e the size of the downloaded headers only. recovering messages from a folder that don't show as messages
I have a rather large folder of saved email messages (now using SeaMonkey 2.0.x, but it was long established under SeaMonkey 1.x) in which a large period of messages -- spanning almost two years worth -- disappeared from the folder listing. Instead, the last message still displayed before the break is listed as having an enormous size -- it does have an attachment, but nowhere near that big! I suspect that the messages are still there, but somehow the file is corrupted so that they look as if they are part of that last message before the break. Rebuilding the summary file ...

Newsgroup headers not showing if there are unread messages
I recently switched over to TB from OE. In OE newsgroups, the first message always showed with the title bolded if there were any unread messages in the thread, but TB doesn't seem to do that. I'm not talking about new messages . . . TB does a credible job there . .. . I'm talking about if I read the first message and then leave the thread and don't read all the messages and then come back to it later. In that case, TB shows the the first message unbolded, and I have to expand to see if I read all the messages in the thread. OE showed the first message as bol...
