Make Calendar or Sunbird Default Calendar App

Using Windows XP Pro, I do not see Sunbord or Calendar in the list for
Default Applications. When I go to Internet Properties, click
Programs, Select down arror next to calendar Outlook is my only option.
Should Sunbord or Calendar be there?

"Internet Properties" are in fact the "Micosoft Internet Explorer
Preferences" so it only applies to MSIE and not to Windows. So it has no
effect on your system.

If you have a scheduler key on your keyboard, you can bind it to
calendar or sunbird.

There's surely a way to add it in MSIE options by modifying the registry
but I don't know where this info is hold...

Wow, are you wrong.

"Internet Properties" in fact lets you choose the default handlers for
the entire OS, not just IE. I have Xnews for news, Tbird for Mail, and
Nvu for HTML editor. Clicking on a link anywhere in Windows brings up
the appropriate program.

The caveat is that the program installer must register the program with
Windows in order to be recognized, something Sunbird does not do.

Lightning Calendar add-on; how do I make it the default Windows calendar?
Hi, I've just downloaded the Lightning add-on calendar. It works like a charm except for one thing - I can't choose it instead of Outlook in Internet/Options/Programs. The only choice is Outlook :-( (It does allow choices for email and news programs - TB and Forte Agent which are both installed on my PC). The main reason I want to make it the Windows default is to allow my Nokia phone to synchronise with it. It will synchronise with Outlook, but the Nokia software doesn't recognise TB/Lighting as a choice (although it does imply in the "blurb" that it w...

HOWTO: Print calendar in Mozilla Calendar / Sunbird on Linux
Many have reported that it is not possible to print a calendar in Mozilla Calendar for Linux. The problem is described in bug #268179: you can preview the calendar, but not print it (because simply the "Print" button is missing). This occurs on Linux (with non-xprint-enabled builds, which all official builds are), and maybe on other platforms. But there's a workaround: To show the print preview, Mozilla Calendar creates a temporary file "calendarPrint.html" (or "calendarPrint-1.html" and so on, if the previous one exists already). On Linux, this in ...

Mozilla Calendar
I've recently started using Mozilla Calendar, and so far the features and user interface are almost exactly what I want... but (maybe) not quite. I use a hosted mail-server to keep my email in one central place - but access it from a number of different computers. IMAP is already configured and secured with a VPN, but I don't currently have a secured ftp service that I can access remotely (and using FTP is all I can find documented...) I notice the "Remote Server URL" option when creating new calendars... but I am unsure about the server configuration requireme...
