extensions in xulrunner 17.0
How to you get them to work? why does it have to be so convoluted and difficult? Docks on mozdev are useless and out of date. why can't I just type myapp --install-app /blah/blah/extension.xpi? seriously, why is it so hard to make extensions work in xulrunner? And "NO" I don't want to go through a 1 hour compile to install a simple extension that I can just drag and drop into Firefox 17.0. Maybe if all this stuff was a bit less convoluted more people would use the damn thing. Such a great tool let down by spaghetti code! Regards: frustrated beyond belief

Hi all, I am upgrading a xulrunner 1.9.2 based application towards 17.0.1. One thing I noticed, that for some reason, embedded PDFs via the Adobe Plugin isn't running anymore. Embedding Xulrunner 2.0: CreateChromeWindow2 (e.g. if Xulrunner Requests a Window for a simple Alert Box): chrome://global/content/commonDialog.xul rendered without content
If Embedding Xulrunner 2.0 it requests for a new window with a browser inside if e.g. a web page opens a simple alert box. It calls nsIWindowCreator2::CreateChromeWindow2 and renders the dialog box content into the returned nsIWebBrowserChrome. That works all fine, but inside the returned nsIWebBrowserChrome only the URL of the dialog content (chrome://global/content/commonDialog.xul) is displayed, but without content (like i just enter the chrome url in the firefox 4.0 browser). It seems that the parameters for the XUL get lost somewhere. If using Xulrunner 1.9.2 all works fine...
Problem with extension on Vista FF2.0.0.8/2.0.0.9
Hello, I have written an extension for FF that was trying to write a file to Program files with nsIFileOutputStream. When getting to Vista, on FF version pre-2.0.0.8, the virtualization came in and solved my problem. After the FF updated to 2.0.0.8 I get an error on the error-console : [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED) [nsIFileOutputStream.init]" nsresult: "0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED)" . Any ideas about how to fix this? Problems with new FireFox 2.0.0.5 and 0.8.0.2 XForms extension
Hi all, We are running the 0.8.0.2 extension and are having problems with the new FireFox 2.0.0.5 that just came out. It looks like instance documents are not loading on the Windows platform. Is anyone else having problems with this? Thanks - Dan It won't work.
