I don't get the prompt to load images

This started mid-day

I don't know what to look for in Tools / options or other configuration.

I can't get the remote images to load.
I don't get the prompt any more.

I tried it with Thunderbird Safe mode.
I tried it with Thunderbird No Extensions

First thing..Check your view options View>>message body as>>original html.

Is it all messages with remote images, or just this particular message.

You can send yourself a message with the following inserted with Insert>html

Paste in the following:
<img alt=""
         src="http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/37/tb150pw.jpg"
         moz-do-not-send="true" height="238" width="292">

Then send it to yourself.

Chances are there is something in that particular message that is 
causing your problem.

Yes, it was all messages...
Thanks for that!
It was the View Messages (set to simple html)
...and yes, I am the one who did it earlier in the day for a different issue.  I did it to my self. Thanks for saving my 
sanity!
