SeaMonkey 1.1.18 vs SeaMonkey 2.1 (if/when 2.1 is released)I will clearly state that I am not a computer whiz...thus, I have a
number of concerns regarding SeaMonkey 2.0 installation on my system.
I have been reading the many SeaMonkey 2.0 messages on this newsgroup
with some concern about my ability to fix the problems that could occur
with the installation of 2.0. It seems that the move from 1.1.18 to 2.0
is not happening without a number of glitches along the way. Thus, in
light of what I have read, I am wondering if it would wise for me to
wait for a future release of SeaMonkey before upgrading my system...I
suppose I am hoping tha...

When starting SeaMonkey 2, SeaMonkey 1.1.13 is runI installled SeaMonkey 2.a1 next to 1.1.13
All was well and pushing the 2.a1 short cut started SeaMonkey 2
At this moment the quick launch wasn't active (Windows)
After reboot when the quick load is active, pushing the 2.a1 short cut starts 1.1.13
Even going to the 2.a1 install directory and pushing the SeaMonkey exe of 2.a1 starts 1.1.13.
Is there a cure?

SeaMonkey 2.1An increasing number of features are diverging between Gecko 1.9.2 and
Gecko 1.9.3; this gives us a number of options, with pros and cons for
each, but please don't consider this an exhaustive list.
1. Stick with 1.9.2 for now, don't use 1.9.3 features at all
* Pro: We know what features we have to port
* Con: Lots of catching up on trunk after comm-central
forks/after releasing 2.1
2. Write code using feature detection for 1.9.3/backward
compatibility for 1.9.2
* Pro: More flexible than any other option
* Co...

Dropping 1.9.2, Going 1.9.3 for SeaMonkey 2.1[re-post of
http://home.kairo.at/blog/2010-02/dropping_1_9_2_going_1_9_3_for_seamonkey
here in the groups/lists]
I blogged on SeaMonkey 2.1 planning earlier in
http://home.kairo.at/blog/2010-01/seamonkey_2_1_planning and also about
the fact that we have been unsure if we should go 1.9.2 or 1.9.3 in
terms of the platform there.
I sent mails to the SeaMonkey Council and a few quite active developers
in the last days, and asked for opinions on dropping support for 1.9.2
and going for firmly basing SeaMonkey 2.1 on Mozilla platform 1.9.3 instead.
Nobody was really against th...
MozBackup 1.4.6 and SeaMonkey 1.1.1
Running MozBackup, I get a "Problem with backup e-mail account!:
C:\Documents and Settings\ED\Application
Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\xxxx.slt\Mail\incoming.verizon-1.net"
whilst it is backing up the e-mail accounts.
I have a number of e-mail accounts and that's the only one that gives
any problem. The message does not give any hint as to the problem. I
have removed the .msf files in that account - read through the existing
mail files with a text reader - and have found no problems.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Issues in Seamonkey 1.1.6 #2I found the problem, it was in one of my computers, this computer had
installed the version 1.1.2 and
I upgraded it to version 1.1.6.
here is the link with the problem

The issue was fixed by removing the version 1.1.6, and reinstalling it
again.

enigmail 1.1.2 with Seamonkey 2.1rc1 possible?HI!

Seamonkey 2.1/2.2 breaking Java plugin support on Centos 5 Linux?I'm a long-time user of Seamonkey, from since it was called Mozilla.
The recent 2.1 and 2.2 updates seem to have broken Java support on my Centos
5.5 box (32 bits) and I really can't figure this out.
Seamonkey is installed in /usr/local.
Starting from 2.1, the /usr/local/seamonkey/plugins directory is gone. As per
the release notes, plugins are now managed on a per-user basis in
$HOME/.mozilla/plugins
So far, so good. I used to have a link in /usr/local/seamonkey/plugins pointing
to /usr/local/jre1.6.0_12/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so (I install
