Don't mess with wot ain't broke.
...Seamonkey 2.1 and Seamonkey 2.0
I'm using Seamonkey 2.1 nightly builds but sometimes by mistake I launch
Seamonkey 2.0 and then in Seamonkey 2.1 I have not history and no bookmarks.
How fixing it?

more cracks than the earth's crust.
I have just downloaded a few minutes ago and I have a crashed browser.
This has more problems than a child abuse victim
Firstly I have lost almost all of my bookmarks bar; The bookmarks panel
is a mess; my newsgroups were lost and had to be reloaded. Every time I
try to get a group it reloads the lot at the expense of *my* bandwidth;
and it does not go through my firewall in spite the fact that SeaMonkey
is authorised and still is on the firewall setup.
It seems I am now stuck with v2.0.14 for ever.
...Seamonkey 2.1/2.2 breaking Java plugin support on Centos 5 Linux?
I'm a long-time user of Seamonkey, from since it was called Mozilla.
The recent 2.1 and 2.2 updates seem to have broken Java support on my Centos
5.5 box (32 bits) and I really can't figure this out.
Seamonkey is installed in /usr/local.
Starting from 2.1, the /usr/local/seamonkey/plugins directory is gone. As per
the release notes, plugins are now managed on a per-user basis in
So far, so good. I used to have a link in /usr/local/seamonkey/plugins pointing
to /usr/local/jre1.6.0_12/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so (I install

I will switch a computer from windows to linux and from Seamonkey 2.6.1
to Seamonkey 2.4.1 (I don't know why Ubuntu only have 2.6.1 on Precise
I think there no big differences between these two releases that will
bring bug into profile. Am I false?
On my computer I directly use Seamonkey from Mozilla, on that computer I
don't want to have work, so I only keep Ubuntu repositories.
Sorry for possible mistakes in English!

I want to migrate all email settings/keys/emails for 3 IMAP email

When I try to load Portable SeaMonkey from the USB on the target

So I got 2.2, a huge disappointment with lots of annoying bugs in mail
and one big one in web (RMB context menu bug).
The new level of issues makes me scared to update, even though this is
the most buggy version of since perhaps Moz 0.6.
So what are the big new 2.3.1 issues that were not in 2.2? Should I be
scared or should I update? I have never had an update before 2.2 that I
questioned going back before.

I will clearly state that I am not a computer whiz...thus, I have a
number of concerns regarding SeaMonkey 2.0 installation on my system.
I have been reading the many SeaMonkey 2.0 messages on this newsgroup
with some concern about my ability to fix the problems that could occur
with the installation of 2.0. It seems that the move from 1.1.18 to 2.0
is not happening without a number of glitches along the way. Thus, in
light of what I have read, I am wondering if it would wise for me to
wait for a future release of SeaMonkey before upgrading my system...I
suppose I am hoping tha...SeaMonkey 2.16.2
I have been installing SeaMonkey updates routinely on my Windows XP and
Windows 7 systems without any problems. I recently updated to 2.16.1 on
both systems and all was okay. I then updated to 2.16.2 on both systems
and the update worked fine on the Windows 7 system and bombed on the
Windows XP system. I first updated to 2.16.2 and the system would not
respond to any clicks I made---e.g. to go to a web site or
download/compose/or access my mail. In fact, I could click on any item
on the SeaMonkey window and it did nothing...I would then click on a
different place on the win...Seamonkey 2.0 #2
Summary: Seamonkey 2.0
I upgraded from previous version . Saved mail in various folders did not
show up in 2.0 as well as address book . I choose user once then
restarted and choose default user. Neither gave different results.
Uninstalled 2.0, rebooted and installed again. Same result. I loose
everything saved in 1.1.8 mail, folders, emails, and saved emails.
What am I doing wrong ?
2.0 looks good otherwise. User since day one.

I received two quick responses, and one of them disappeared right after
I read it. I think the question was whether right-clicking on the Inbox
and repairing it solves the problem. No, the messages do not reappear.
And I'm not allowing SeaMonkey to do anything with the messages
automatically. I don't see any instruction or preference that would
explain what is happening.
I also meant to include that my OS is Windows XP Professional 2002 with
Service Pack 3.

The SeaMonkey project is proud to present SeaMonkey 2.2: The new major
release of the all-in-one Internet suite is available for download now!
Building on the same Mozilla platform as the newest Firefox release, it
delivers the latest developments in web technologies such as HTML5,
SeaMonkey 2.2 is available in 21 languages, for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
Most notably, this release features for the first time:
Added support for CSS animations.
Tuned HTTP idle connection logic for increased performance.
I notice that both Firefox and Thunderbird released versions 10.0.2. So,
whatever is the chemspill bug this time, it doesn't look
Firefox-specific. Therefore, should we expect Seamonkey 2.7.2 anytime soon?
