Innotek Flash 5 w/Firefox 1.5.0.1I can't seem to get the Flash plugin to work. I installed Java and that
works fine, but I just can't get the Flash to work at all. Could it be that
the flash pages that you visit these days are advanced to the point that
version 5 of flash just doesn't get the job done?
Upon installation, I specified the plugins directory of my install of
FF...but still no avail. Am I missing anything? Thanks much.

Summary: Firefox 2 Beta 1 disabled my 1.5 compatible extensions IN FIREFOX 1.5.0.4!!!!
Comments:
Folks -
I can understand you disabling any incompatible extensions when
installing Firefox 2 Beta 1 in an environment where a previous Firefox
installation exists (in my case, Firefox 1.5.0.4).
However, what the heck were you thinking when you configured the Firefox
2 Beta 1 install to disable those same extensions in my existing Firefox
1.5.0.4?!!! I now have to reload about 95% of my ex...
Cannot Send Messages in TB 1.5.0.5.Hi there,
Using a iMac IntelDuo with OS V10.4.7 with TB 1.5.0.5 (20060719). I keep on
getting error messages when trying to send e-mails. I have my .MAC (paid)
account as the default, but the system wants to send using my normal
Sympatico POPHM (SSL) account. (This is an MSN equivalent, but works like a
secure POP account.) I have tried switching all the settings around on both
accounts with no change. Even though I am reply to a .MAC message I get a
Sympatico error message... It's sending from Sympatico, not .MAC.
Alert
An error occurred while sending e-mail. The serve...

AltaVista support removed from Firefox 1.5.0.1. Why?Howdy!
I updated to Firefox version 1.5.0.1 and noticed that AltaVista has been
removed from the list of search engines. OK, so I guess someone thought that
it is less important than the other ones accepted into that drop-down menu.
But why is it not even on the Add Engines page that contains a broader list
of search engines? If you, Dear Reader, can take the steps to add it there,
please do... Thanks!
Regards,
Vesa

Poor CSS Support in Firefox 1.5 and 1.6(beta)I installed Firefox 1.5 and found all the colors and backgrounds from
all CSS files simply ignored.
I installed the 1.6 beta and found the same problem.
I expect this kind of behavior from IE, but from Firefox? What's up?

Dear Excellent Developers,
I share a passion for the same in IT and I wanted to mention that I have

How do i stop Firefox 1.5.0.1 from replacing my 1.5 and losing my extensions?I was typing in another window, when the annoying popup to upgrade from 1.5
to 1.5.0.1 came up again. As it happened, it took focus and got carriage
return I had just typed.
So it starts downloading, I closed the window, hoping it would stop. It did
not. Now if I reboot or close all firefox windows, it is going to put in
1.5.0.1 which I have decided I do not want at this time.
Will someone please preach to me? I am losing faith. This is the kind of
crap Microsoft or AOL would pull.
Any idea how to prevent this forced upgrade from happening? (Forced because
it grabbed focus...
crash by embedding xulrunner 1.9.1.5/firefox 3.5.5Hi all,
it seems that embedding does not work anymore just after the use of TLS(thread local STORAGE) variables was introduced
in order to make NS_IsMainThread faster.
(see http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-1.9.1/log/27d9d4107522/xpcom/threads/nsThreadManager.cpp)
The call of NS_InitXPCOM2 causes "access violation" exception since the use of TLS has limitations.
Is it a BUG or is the behavior expected this way ?!
embedding strategy: Frozen linkage: standalone glue (no DLL dependencies)

Firefox 1.5.0.1 on Mac w/ OS 10.2.8Just installed Firefox on a 266hz iMac running OS 10.2.8.
I have put an alias in the Dock and it seems to work fine but everytime
I start it up it pops up a small window with a large icon, a b&w icon
and a image of a folder with a capital "A" . It also puts an extra
alias on the desktop. It looks like a hard drive with the fox on it. If
I drag that alias to the trash it will put up another, very annoying.
Is there a fix?
Thanks, Rob
