getting from 2.0.0.6 to 2.0.0.11

FF duly informs me that there's an update available.

Fine.

I d/l the update, agree to restart FF once it's installed, and ...
it's still at 2.0.0.6?

What's going on here?

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Hi,
please look in the help menu. Do you see the update firefox menu entry
or is there an blinking circle on that place.

Suggest downloading full version of 2.0.0.11. Then uninstall earlier
version, and install 2.0.0.11. Back up your profile, just in case.

Thanks for your suggestions, Ron and Spiderman.

Nothing untoward with the Help/Check for updates... it does check and
d/l and go through all the motions ... but then doesn't actually
update.

Your suggestion of a re-install would seem to make sense, Ron (though
what a pain!). Where's the profile kept? and is there a way to
preserve all my plug-ins and their settings.

Thanks both for your kind responses.

Best,

Ken

You will find a link in one of my latest post. There you find everything
about the profile.

Reinstalling will leave your profile alone. There *could* be issues with
plugins (not extensions), though.

There we go: installed the whole thing and installed 2.0.0.11 --
perfect, plugins and all.

Thanks for your suggestions.
