SM 2.30 (and FF 33.0) cannot connect to SSL localhost anymoreI'm really upset!
I had this problem with the latest update of FF to v. 33.0 and now the same is
with SM 2.30 OSX (Snow Leopard).
I cannot connect to my local Webmin on "https://localhost:nnn/" (the same with
the local name or 127.0.0.1 IP, 'nnn' is the port number) because of the error
"An error occurred during a connection to 127.0.0.1:nnn. The key does not
support the requested operation. (Error code: sec_error_invalid_key)".
The local certificate is already in the exception list.
Webmin is the latest version 1.710 and all the component are up to date (such
as openSSL)
SM build:
User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:33.0)
Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0 SeaMonkey/2.30
Build identifier: 20141014004953
Does anyone know how to force SM or FF to connect or how to fix the problem?
Thank you!
Gabriel

FF 2.0 B1Hello,
Is there a way to enable SSL V2.0 in FF V2.0? FF is preventing me from
logging into a site saying that it is using "an insecure version of the
SSL protocol" (I'm assuming that that referring to SSL V2.0). I'd like
to be able to bypass this protection at my own discretion.
[I tried to add the following to my firefox.js file, but that didn't
seem to do the trick.
pref("security.enable_ssl2", true);
]
Thanks,
Jim

In FF 1.5.0.4 you do this through 'Tools' > 'Options' > 'Advanced' >
'Security'
Has FF2.0 not got this facility?

Firefox 2.0.0.1 connection problemHi.
Till 2 hours ago i had firefox 2 installed on my laptop, and i was
enjoying it.
then the auto update installed 2.0.0.1, and since that second, firefox
connected to the internet no more!
right now i'm using exploler, which works just fine (every other
program that uses the internet works just fine), and i tried everything
suggested on the forums (including disabling the firewall, enabling
IPV6, and restarting my computer).
Suggestions anybody?

Firefox 2.0.0.8Also having problems with both Firefox and Thunderbird since the
recent updates. Uninstalled both completely, cleared all settings,
clear cache and other happy stuff. Reinstalled FF 2.0.0.8 and still

I fired up Wireshark to see what was happening and for some reason
Firefox is causing a broadcast on the LAN instead of connecting to the
Internet. My setup here is a bit different than a simple plug into a
low-end NAT "router" in that I have my LAN connected to a Cisco 1720
and Catalyst 2950 doing VLANs (dot1q) and my client/business associate
in the first floor office area is on a different LAN but is also
connected via the 1720 with one port on the Catalyst handling the
connection to her LAN. The Internet connection is on her lan using a
basic NAT box and I have my default gateway setup as the address of
the 1720's interface on my LAN with the router address on her LAN as
the default gateway of the router. As the cheapo NAT box connecting to
the Internet only runs RIP 1/2 it's set for RIPv2 as is the Cisco 1720
and the Linux server.
Key Cisco config items are:

Firefox 0.9.2 connection problem (Firefox newbie)1. With Firefox installed, the ability to change "Default" dial up or
network connections seems to be lost. (Settings | Network Connections |
(select one & right-click) | Set as default connection) is greyed out. This
means that there is no way of changing the Default Dial-Up connection.
(MSIE Options can go through the motions of changing default connection, but
it doesn't "stick").
2. IE/OE dial up uses the Dial Up Connection dialogue; with this, the
desired connection can be readily selected, Firefox, OTOH uses the
(unchangeable) default Network Connection.
Uninstall Firefox and everything reverts to normal.
WinXP Prof; description refers to off-line of course, logged on as either
user or administrator the same. The selectable connection is important
because we have a selection of ISP dialup numbers.
Any ideas????
