"Next" and "Previous" buttons on "Find" are backwards

Summary: "Next" and "Previous" buttons on "Find" are backwards

Comments:
If "next" is similar to "forward" it should be on the right. Currently,
the find buttons are "Next | Previous." This is VERY counter-intuitive.

"Quick find" should have "Next" and "Previous" options
Name: Jani Petajasuo Email: janidotpetajasuoatgmail.com Product: Firefox Summary: "Quick find" should have "Next" and "Previous" options Comments: The "quick find" (Start finding as you type) feature in Firefox is great! But in 2.0 Firefox there's not anymore possibility to use "Next" and "Previous", but you need to use ctrl+F to launch the actual "find" application. This is not very convenient and I don't understand why it was removed. I'm sure there's a good reason, but I think you should g...

Precedence of "where" ("of", "is", "will")?

Using "+" or "||"
Using SQLAnywhere 5.5.04, I've gotten into the habit of using "||" in ISQL to indicate a string concatenation. I needed to paste my SQL statement into the PowerBuilder script painter for some embedded SQL, and PB didn't like the "||" very much at all. I changed it to "+" and it seems to be ok. "Me" is better than "You"
Yes I know, strings are frozen. But let me talk about it, I really can't get through the idea of a PC talkin to me. I consider my PC as an extension of myself, not a dumb companion who addresses Me as You. "JROC" / "JROK" / "JROCK" / "JROQ"
I just started a new contract and the tech lead told me that he wanted me to become familiar with something called "JROC" (among some other tools). I've been searching the web and I haven't found any dev tool called "JROC." Based on the name of the tool, it sounds like it encapsulates some javascript functionality. I have tried searching for different spellings - "JROK" / "JROCK" / "JROQ" but I haven't found any matches. Have you ever heard of a dev tool by this name?...

"Firefox" or "Gecko"
Hi, In a lot of places in MDN, like in https://developer.mozilla.org/En/DOM/Attr#Deprecated_properties_and_methods one can see a mention of "Starting in Gecko 7.0 (Firefox 7.0 / Thunderbird 7.0 / SeaMonkey 2.4)...". What is in parens is generated by a template. This was relevant when Gecko/Firefox numbers where different, but I'm wondering if this is necessary anymore for webdev-oriented documentation. I think that since Firefox 4, it would be relevant to just write "Starting in Firefox 7..." (even the ".0" can be dropped I think). This i...

Get "Mail"/"Get "News" / "Write"/"Post" buttons?

"SSL" "Mail" and "Code"
Does anybody know of any discussions taking place within Mozilla regarding these 3 bits in the certificate manager? Perhaps I've missed something in the discussions here. In any case, I think a new mechanism for indicating trust w/in the Mozilla apps are needed. Take for example the "StartCom Certification Authority" root. The Certificate Manager (I'm using Firefox on Windows) says it can identify web sites, email users, and code yet the cert itself says it can only be used for signing other certs (essentially, that is). At a minimum this is confusing but I have...

Wizard Control: Set focus to "next" button before "previous" button
Hello all, I have now run into another wizard quirk that I'd like to change. Right now, apperantly by default, the wizard control tabs to the "Previous" button before going to the "Next" button. Also, if I am in a textbox on my form, pressing the Enter key will trigger the previous button on the wiz control. Is there a way to have this switched, so that the next button is the first button on tab and also the default button for the Enter key?  Thanks! hi Slachkey, here is a useful thread http://p2p.wrox.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=46256 How Do I Set the DefaultFocus or DefaultButton in a Page Based on a Master Page in ASP.NET 2.0? You may be aware of the new DefaultButton and DefaultFocus properties that a few ASP.NET 2.0 controls, including the HtmlForm have. These properties allow you to determine which button gets "clicked" when you hit enter on the page, and which form control gets the focus when the page loads. (If you're not familiar with them, check out this MSDN help file (1)) But how do you use this feature in a page based on a Master Page? Your first attempt may be to add the following code in the Page_Load event of the Content page: Page.Form.DefaultFocus = "TextBox1" Page.Form.DefaultButton = "Button1" However, as soon as you run this code, you'll get the following error: Server Error in '/MyApplication' Application.   The DefaultButton of 'form1' must be the ID of a control of type IButtonControl.
