Firefox 126.96.36.199 quits responding on Mac after running awhile.

Summary: Firefox 188.8.131.52 quits responding on Mac after running awhile.
Since I downloaded 184.108.40.206, my FireFox sessions start to respond
erratically, and then not at all to mouse clicks after variable lengths
of time (hours to days).
Going to another internet-enabled program like Safari (which works and
opens web pages) and then returning to FireFox seems to cure the problem
for a short period, but after a few rounds of this, surfing grinds to a
halt. I updated to CoolIris 2.5 about the same time, so...220.127.116.11/18.104.22.168 release update... respinning for 22.214.171.124 rc5, new target release date Tue. 2/27

Fire Fox will not shutdown or restart using: [Command-Q], -or-
File-Exit, -or- Red "X" in upper right corner of window. Only way can
get it to quit is via a force quit i.e., [Command-Option-esc]. Shutsown
and restart (e.g., after installing Add-ons), worked A-ok on earlier of

Summary: Quit does not quit
After I quit the Firefox screen disappears. If I restart Ff I get a
nasty note saying it cannot be started because a copy is already
running. If I bring up Windows Task Manager sure enough, there is
firefox.exe listed among working programs. I can select it and hit end
process, then restart Ff, but not until I do that or shut down and
reboot. This started last years and has been an irritation whilst
running 3 versions; I am now running 3.0.1.

Is this the issue with the new release or I should look something into
Thanx for help in advance.
A problem also on Mac OS X version 0.8.0.2.
It doesn't install
not valid hash file (probably corrupted download).

&g...Problems with new FireFox 18.104.22.168 and 0.8.0.2 XForms extension
We are running the 0.8.0.2 extension and are having problems with the
new FireFox 22.214.171.124 that just came out. It looks like instance
documents are not loading on the Windows platform.
Is anyone else having problems with this?
Thanks - Dan
It won't work. We added support for current() which means changes to
XPath which means that any interaction in xforms that requires xpath
will fail (almost all of them if you consider binding, etc).

Frequently, when quitting Firefox, the process does not quit, but
continues to run even though the windows have been closed (exited from)
and a 'normal' quit has apparently been achieved. And while the process
is running, it is frequently consuming most of my resources, eg, memory
and processor. I have dual processor desktop I'm working on (as opposed
to a dual core - it's a 3-4 year old box), and after quitting the

I can run the updated browser for about 10-20 minutes and then it
inadvertently quits on me, closing all tabs, and prompting me to
re-open. This happens without fail.

I don't know what changed since 184.108.40.206 but the new releases (220.127.116.11,
18.104.22.168) seem very buggy. Random crashes, slow responses and
additionally problems with administrator rights.
I had similar problems on 2 out of 2 systems. Best solution for me (and
probably a lot of other users) is to go back to 22.214.171.124 and disable

Each time I have installed update 22.214.171.124 I can't get my email for
email@example.com. The feed back states it can't find the pop server.
I've reported this twice to the web master but that amounted to zilch.
I've repeated this 2 times and each time I've had to reload 126.96.36.199 to
get at my email. I am continually bombarded with .4 up dates which I
now refuse to install again. So far, no one has reported a fix to me.

I am currently using a version of Firefox with the version number of
22.214.171.124. This is the second time that I have been told that it has now
been updated to a newer version of Firefox with a version number of
126.96.36.199. I assume that 188.8.131.52 is newer (and better) than version
184.108.40.206. How can I stop this "update"?
