Where is the output for the file-protocol created (mozilla-central)?

Hey,

I want to have a look at the creation of the output of the file
protocol (whatever you see, when you insert a filepath in the
addressbar of FF) and in a second step overwrite the behaviour of
this.

unfortunately i can't find the place in mozilla-central, where this
happens.

i know the file-protocol can be found in "mozilla-central\netwerk
\protocol\file\", but the output (creation of the html-page) doesn't
seem to happen there.

does anyone have an idea where it could be?

thx in advance!

p.s. i hope platform is the right group for this, but i guess the
people here have the most knowledge of the source.

You're looking for nsDirectoryIndexStream:
http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/source/netwerk/base/src/nsDirectoryIndexStream.cpp

You were in the right place, you just would have had to notice this section
of code:
http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/source/netwerk/protocol/file/src/nsFileChannel.cpp#293

I cheated and just searched mxr for "nsDir" in filenames on a guess.

Error Message F2039 Could not create output file (output file name)
First, thank you in advance for any help you might be able to provide. I made a few changes to my application, i.e., added several units from an older version, and got the above error message when I attempted to execute it. Even after I went through and removed the recently added on units, I am still getting the error message and termination. What do I have to do to clean this up? I cannot see where something changed that I did not undo from removing the recently added-on, troublesome units. Once again, thank you very much. John Shyer I am using Delphi XE on Windows 7. How to create a pdf file in asp.net with c# as one of the output file?
Hi All,I need to know whether creating a pdf file through asp.net is possible or not? For instance, i can create a excel file to export data as output. Likewise, i need to export some information in pdf format. It should then open and show the contents. Going further in this, can we also customize like displaying the user-login name as watermark so that each pdf created for every user is unique to him. How to achieve this task? Do we need to install any third party components which will provide methods/namespaces etc or can we do without any third party components? After reading many related ...

Is dev-platform for platform users or platform developers?
So since dev-tech-xpcom closed, there's been an awful lot of traffic on dev-platform from platform users. I don't really have time to read this, and it probably means I'll be paying less attention to the platform developer traffic on dev-platform (if any at all; I'd long since unsubscribed to dev-tech-xpcom until told to resubscribe to follow the XPCOM memory management discussion). Read a dynamically created html file and re-write it into a newly created file
I need to read a dynamically created html file and save the contents to a new file in a directory. The point is, I have an application that takes imput from the user, they upload files into my database.  I then display a dynamically created page with the files that they have uploaded grouped by week.  I have the preview of their file showing, I cannot figure out how to get that file to save without using the menu's save button.  This option doesn't work becuase I have to save the file, not the user.  Any ideas would be appreciated.   Thank you, I do no...

File is not accessible after File.Create()
When I use File.Create(filename) method, file is created but it is inaccessible until application closes. That means I cannot add any text lines to this file which is my intention. Is there some method to end File.Create like StreamReader.Close() or something ? Did you use file.open method to write to that file. Make sure to check the folder permissions. You should give ASPNET Machine Account write permissions to that folder. If you do not have one listed, Add user ASPNET and give him appropriate permissions. Hope this will help.
