A new blocker was discovered recently what will require a respin for
Firefox 2.0.0.2:
Bug 370521 <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370521>
-- TextArea not firing onchange event (edit
<javascript:toggleField('summary');>)
was caused by the checkin for:
Bug 357684 <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357684>
-- onchange on textbox not fired when onblur changes text value
(edit <javascript:toggleField('summary');>)
To minimize risk this late in the release cycle, we have decided to
backout the changes from Bug 357684 and respin Firefox 2.0.0.2. The
latest Firefox 2.0.0.2 rc5 builds are available in
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2.0.0.2-candidates/rc5,
so please help us test the latest back out and verify any other fixes
you are interested in.
Given the work that will need to be done to build and test 2.0.0.2 rc5,
our ship day will need to be pushed out yet again. We were hoping to be
done by Thur. 2/22, but are now looking at a *new target release date of
Tuesday 2/27.
*This change will not impact 1.5.0.10, so build and QA will continue
their work with Firefox/Thunderbird 1.5.0.10 and try to wrap that up
soon, so we can focus on Firefox 2.0.0.2 rc5 later this week and be
ready for release next week.*
*
I'll be posting to the newsgroups and updating the wiki page
http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox:1.5.0.10-2.0.0.2 with any more updates
later this week. So keep an eye out for any changes.
- Jay
