make reset-gaia change: remove profile also

Hey folks,

I am going to land a simple patch that to add one more target when you =
do |make reset-gaia|,
it's |make clean|, that is to say, remove the generated profile.

Recently I switch from DEBUG=3D1 and no DEBUG flag often and found that =
after reset-gaia,
device/nightly doesn't work for me. If I do |make clean| before |make =
reset-gaia| then everything is O.K.
I think reset-gaia should imply "remove the profile".

I am uncertain if this change will break someone's local work, if so, =
please raise your hand.

Thanks.

P.S. the bug is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3D874774

Excellent and simple.
I also suggested another way to help with this (and with |make
install-gaia| ) https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=864751

Everyone should do |make reset-gaia| instead of |make install-gaia| sometimes
Dear all, I made a commit (with help with Gregor on settings db) that creates the make target "reset-gaia" and "purge". "purge" will remove profile, gaia and databases from the phone, and "reset-gaia" will do "purge", then install settings db and gaia. I've seem a lot of quirks because of incorrect settings or files. If you have no valuable information in the profile, I urge everyone (including QA, UX) to test a phone from "reset-gaia" instead of "insteall-gaia", to make sure everything works right fro...

Gaia: string changed between Gaia 1.1 and Gaia 1.2
Hi, Pascal put together a very useful view on Transvision (for now only available on Beta). Unfortunately there are strings that changed between 1.1 and 1.2, without getting new IDs. Sometimes changes are minor (like removing an article), in other cases they're substantial. If your locale was shipped in 1.1, you probably want to check this page to see if your localization has already been updated for 1.2. For example this is the page for Italian (just replace the locale code in the URL) http://transvision-beta.mozfr.org/gaia/?locale=it#englishchanges Personally I fin...

[email] email manifest devicestorage permissions changed; make reset-gaia (or equivalent) required
The e-mail app has switched from using discrete devicestorage music/pictures/videos permissions to just using 'sdcard'. As such, if you are a developer, you may need to do "make reset-gaia" or whatever it is that will cause your permissions database to get updated if you want to do anything with permissions in the e-mail app. Also, there was a small landing glitch where the e-mail backend change did not get landed with the front-end change, so depending on the state of your permissions database and such, downloading/opening attachments may have been broken i...

Now i made changes in some of files in gaia-master/apps/settings/elements and then again did following make DEBUG=1 ./b2g -profi...

Sheriffing gaia-unit-tests: reverting gaia changes
The gaia-unit-tests on TBPL are running green the last few commits on birch: https://tbpl.mozilla.org/?tree=Birch&showall=1 Look for "G" on the "Ubuntu64 opt" line. They're currently "hidden", meaning that they don't appear unless showall=1 is included in the url, and as such they aren't automatically sheriffed. We're nearly ready to unhide them, and let the sheriffs back out changes which break any of the gaia-unit-tests. I've published some basic instructions for how to do this at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Sheriff_Duty#...

So we are deprecating both in favor of dev-fxos. Intent to host jsdoc on gaia gh-page (Was: JSDoc generator change in gaia)
--20cf30426dbcd6fff405180c4d8a Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 I've commited bug 1172384 to easily publish jsdoc to gh-pages via `gulp github` command. Currently I generate and host jsdocs on my fork. e.g: http://gasolin.github.io/gaia/settings/ If no objection, I'll start generate and publish jsdoc to gaia gh-page after 2 days. Then we will be able to link jsdoc such as http://mozilla-b2g.github.io/gaia/settings/ on per app readme. It may help new contributors to grasp our code base better. 2015-06-02 14:43 GMT+08:00 Fred Lin <flin@mozilla.com>: &...
