2-line layout Vertical View #2Has anyone thought about a 2-line vertical view for the message list
pane? With a wide-screen monitor it would be really nice. It's
about
the only thing that is any good in Outlook, aside from the calendar.
I've been using Shredder for about a month now as I could no longer
live with Eudora's issues (user of 17 years).
Thanks

Could layout vertical view support 2 line mode?Like becky or outlook, each mail takes 2 row in the message list view,
could thunderbird implement this, or is there any addon/plugin
suitable? thanks

Summary: Problem with Thunderbird Vertical View Layout
Comments:
Vertical View Layout of Thunderbird does not support double line view in
thread's pane(middle pane) as it can be seen in outlook 2007 or barca 2
and single line is unable 2 show the subject and sender's name and all
such information without being overlapped. i tried to search for an
add-on which can correct this problem but there is no such add-on. so at
the moment Vertical View Layout is almost useless. I want to switch from

Thunderbird 2 ViewsI use views a lot and with Thunderbird 1.5 there was a simple drop-down
menu to access views. Now it appears this has been combined with tags so
there is an extra step in locating custom views. This is unfortunate. I
was hoping Thunderbird 2 would improve views (eg allow for the view
order to be changed) but it seems to have made it worse. Are there any
extensions that improve the use of views. There should be some way of
having quick access to favourite views.
Thanks,

Vertical Lines #2I have a report with 4 distinct regions of data. I would like to separate
them all with vertical lines running the length of the data. A vertical
line either prints the entire length of the page (in foreground), regardless
of the amount of data, or in broken segments (in band). A group box didn't
work for me either. The problem for me arises when data only extends half a
page. i need the vertical line to end with the data.

Thunderbird layout #2Hi,
Can someone tell me how I can I identify the following? Maybe certain
text on the screen or different font? I am trying to get the
screenreader to recognise what window it is in.
How can I tell i am in a message list example inbox?
How can I tell I am in a message from someone?
How can I tell I am in the attachments list?
How can I tell that something is an attachment?
Thanks,

Thunderbird To Thunderbird #2Just downloaded and set up Thunderbird on my PC laptop.
I transferred my contacts from Opera to Thunderbird.
I set up a bunch of eMail Accounts.
I put fresh install on my desktop PC.
I see how to get the contacts from the laptop to the desktop.
How do I get the eMail account setup from the laptop to the desktop.
I do not see any export / import for that.
Is there a file to copy over?
Some utility to maintain the Accounts?

A great improvement over 1.5 except. Spell check isn't comprehensive
enough, wont find words misspelt ie doesnt / dosent . Will not
capitalise a misspelt word at the beginning of a sentence.
Junk filter excellent
Auto save on writing an email can be problematical as it removes focus
from the email and therefore any typed words are not recorded, can be a
bit of a nuisance when you're not looking at the screen all the time.
