Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal ToolWhy is it that the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool
takes so long to download each month? It's July 29th and I still see
June's entry in the Vulnerability List. Everything else came down by
Friday following Patch Tuesday. This happens every month. Does it
happen to everyone?
Server version 6.3.2.700
Thank you!

I am not having luck getting this patch to install on any of my Windows 2000
and XP workstations. I have deployed it three times. The failure message is
uninformative. Anybody else having trouble with this patch?

Richard,
what's the failure message, and have you tried running it with the

have tried the turn off the silent run without seeing anything useful. I am
deploying mostly to Windows 2000 workstations but have also tried it on a

Thanks paradoX! - one of those 'must look it up someday' items (now I
know). MS guide http://support.microsoft.com/kb/890830 lists applicable
OSs and reveals that it 'phones home' which some would want to know
about in advance.
