Can somebody from sybase confirm that jdk 1.5 is officially support to
use with EAS 5.3.0? If so what specific version of the jdk 1.5 is supported

thanks, although installed and supported are different :-)
As 1.5 has only just been introduced in EAS 5.3 we were after some sort
of confirmation that support/engineering won't say, "This is a problem
with jdk 1.5, switch back to using jdk 1.4.2". We have come across this
in the past with earlier versions so that is why I have been asked to
find out.
I have asked our account manager but I think they are still on holiday.

Peter:
That only happens when a bug in the VM forces us to use a previous VM.
Our software is written on the latest VM's. I suggest using Java 5 (the
1.5 label was pulled last summer).

thanks. What about jdk 1.4.2_10? 5.3 comes with 1.4.2_06 and 6.0 comes
with 1.4.2_08, if we were to upgrade to the latest 1.4.2_10 would that
be supported?

Peter:
Sorry, no. We only test on the version that is shipped in the box.
