D2010 - Build -Can not create Output file

I've been compiling this project and running it fine then it had an error,
and I click detached process instead of resetting. Now I can't build the
project. I rebooted, and I made sure the application wasn't still running.

I even deleted the project's EXE file. I tried deleting all the IDE files
for the project like the DSK, RES and so on.

Anymore Ideas why I the compiler can't create the output file?

Thanks
Richard

That did not fix it, that is the stupid visual attribute bug in Win XP.
I can write to that folder fine, but Delphi will not create the output file.

Any other ideas?

You did verify that the setting for the output folder in the project
options is what you think it should be, didn't you? Don't be fooled by
the relative path notation, click on the ellipsis button to see which
folder the IDE thinks it should be using!

Yes, it is correct. Everytime I compile the project, the file and folder
gets marked as read only.
Once I clear it, it compiles one more time. No other project is doing this.
Driving me nutzo.

Do you have any post-build events for this project?

No, heck, I ended up putting the project in a different folder and it was
fine. Ghost and Gremlins I guess. Never seen anything like that before.

Error Message F2039 Could not create output file (output file name)
First, thank you in advance for any help you might be able to provide. I made a few changes to my application, i.e., added several units from an older version, and got the above error message when I attempted to execute it. Even after I went through and removed the recently added on units, I am still getting the error message and termination. What do I have to do to clean this up? I cannot see where something changed that I did not undo from removing the recently added-on, troublesome units. Once again, thank you very much. John Shyer I am using Delphi XE on Windows 7. How to create a pdf file in asp.net with c# as one of the output file?
Hi All,I need to know whether creating a pdf file through asp.net is possible or not? For instance, i can create a excel file to export data as output. Likewise, i need to export some information in pdf format. It should then open and show the contents. Going further in this, can we also customize like displaying the user-login name as watermark so that each pdf created for every user is unique to him. How to achieve this task? Do we need to install any third party components which will provide methods/namespaces etc or can we do without any third party components? After reading many related ...

Delphi IDE and .INI files
Hi, I've recently upgraded to Delphi XE and am currently in a process of porting source code from Delphi 7 to XE. One minor irritation that I've run into is that the Delphi XE IDE opens an .ini file that's part of a project as hex. Delphi 7 didn't behave this way -- it simply opened the .ini file as a text file for editing. Is there an option somewhere that I've missed to get Delphi XE to treat .ini files the same way Delphi 7 did? Many thanks, Walter Prins Walter Prins wrote: > Hi, > > I've recently upgraded to Delphi XE and am currently...
