autocomplete not working in IE7 after web app was migrated from .NET 1.0/1.1 to .NET 3.5
IE7 autocomplete not working after web app was migrated from .NET 1.0/1.1 to .NET 3.5.
OS: Windows XP.
Autocomplete worked fine on IE6 and IE7 before migration.
Is there anything thats needs to be configured on the server for IE7 autocomplete to work with the new migrated 3.5 application?
Appreciate the feedback

I installed Visual Studio .NET 2003 on Windows Vista Home Premuim, but I'm unable to select "Web Development" item from "Server Components" during the installation. I installed all the pre-requisits but I can not see Front Page Server Extention in the programs. I can see also the IIS.
Appreciate if any one can guide me with the solution.
FPSE is not included with Vista, it's a separate download. See www.iis.net for this.

I am new here, but have been searching for a while, and may not have the correct lingo to find what I am looking for.
I am tasked with implementing a .exe application that was writen vb6 then converted to .net into a new website my team is developing. The idea is to put each of the 3 different forms in this .exe application of 3 different .aspx pages. I have attempted multiple things to get this into the page and even started to just rewrite it as an ASP.net web form, but even then I can't reuse any of the code since the System.Web.UI.Page doesn't inherit the sa...Using Visual Studio.NET 2005 with .NET Framework 1.1
I'm wondering how easy it is to use Visual Studio.NET 2005 to develop
with the .NET Framework 1.1. The 2005 IDE is superior to the VS 2003
IDE (especially in terms of HTML editing), and I would like to switch
over in the future. However, my project is not quite ready to be
converted to .NET 2.0.
Can anyone direct me to an article on this or have any advice?

Did you get an answer to this one? I would like to know the same..Thanks!

We were able to use such things as below in the InstantASP forum source code. I'm trying to do the same with Presstopia but it errors out when putting the below in their web.config. <machineKey validationKey="..." decryptionKey="..." validation="SHA1" decryption="3DES" />So what did InstantASP have to do to make their 1.1 code able to use machinekey then if it's not a .NET 2.0 application? I want to do the same for Presstopia. I figure there are general things you can do to allow a 1.1 app to make it able to ...Sharing cookie between .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0 web app
I have two servers A and B. A hosts .NET 1.1 web apps, while B hosts .NET 2.0 web apps. I have a common login page written in .NET 2.0 (thus it's on server B). In order to share the cookie, I set the machine key attributes (validation and encryption) of all apps to the same keys, and set all .NET 2.0 web apps to use decryption="3DES". But for some reasons, my .NET 1.1 still cannot read the cookie generated by the .NET 2.0 login page. Anyone has similar problem before? Am I missing anything?

I've been using the beta of visual web dev 2005 (.Net Framework 2) to develop a site but my webhost is running .Net 1.1.
If I stick to .Net 1.1 system namespaces, classes, methods, etc. should I have a problem when i move the site over to the host?
Chances are yes. Even tho you use the same classes and namespaces, they could have been changed ever so slighty and may not be backwards compatible. In this world there are 10 types of people, those that know binary and those who don't.

I've got a ASP.NET 1.1 web site to which I would like to add some ASP.NET 2.0 web pages. Could I just change the web site to point to the 2.0 .NET version and still have the .NET 1.1 web pages work so that both versions are in the same web site?
Have you some of you approached this?
The official answer is maybe
It's not officially supported, but most ASP.NET 1.1 pages will run fine under ASP.NET 2.0. Officially you should run the upgrade wizard on your 1.1 pages.
This is a pretty good blog entry.

We have a a win2003 server with running mostly .NET 2 web applications but one .NET 1 project. We quickly realised after initial upload of the .NET 1 application that the two versions of .NET would have to run in separate application pools. So I set one up called DOTNET1, assigned my app to it and everything seemed to run swimmingly.
Then yesterday a client rang up to say that a single page of the site wasn't working, although the rest seemed fine when I checked. Then today they rang up again and said a different page wasn't working. Both times it showed me an page sugges...Post form with data to a external site (.net 1.1 vb.net) #2

Problem is that I need to do a "Clean post" like if the user would have pressed the submit buttom on a normal HTML page
I don't need the result in the ASP application, the external site will take over from there.
The syntax are
ASP.net local application : form data is save in a local db
ASP.net local application : A POST string is created ( I could create a FORM in real html but then the use has to press twice)
