[Pervasive][ODBC Client Interface][LNA][Pervasive][ODBC Engine Interface]Invalid date, time or timestamp value. error

Hi everyone, have a problem with this line of code:

 thisquery = "select type as tender from dlpaid where stor = '"&istor&"' and tran = '"&itran&"' and till = '"&itill&"' and date1 = '"&right(idate, 4)&"-"&right(left(idate, 5), 2)&"-"&left(idate, 2)&"'  "

set ConnRsOrig =oconnPV.execute(thisquery)

This error occurs sometimes but not all the time:

Refund Checking fault occurred
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e07'
[Pervasive][ODBC Client Interface][LNA][Pervasive][ODBC Engine Interface]Invalid date, time or timestamp value.
/refundcheckingsql/reports/CalcRiskInclude.asp, line 109

Has anybody any idea what the problem may be

Thanks

Sally

you don't seem to have a problem using asp.net with mysql. I mean, why is it that you're using the OLE DB Provider from Microsoft? and also applying the old syntax for ado? well, i'll just say that your statement was valid but it could be more specific if your will work it with the new way of ado.NET.

And of course, As what I've seen in your problem, you have problems connecting your ASP app to your MySQL db... just hope it reflects to the topic. MySQL

Discuss using MySQL as a data store for ASP.NET.

But anyway, hope I don't broke the "per-thread" or "per-topic" requirements in this forum, just want to help this guy..

Well, supersal, you need to install the MySQL ODBC 3.51 or later so that you can be able to connect your ASP applications to your MySQL db. Since, this forum was intended for data access using asp.net with MySQL, I suggest that you post the topic to the correct forum...

hope to hear from you soon! good luck!

Why does a simple select query in MS Access return the error: [Intersolv][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]ct_results(): user api layer: internal client library error: Read from the server has timed
I have applied the information contained in support document 10447954. That did not resolve the problem. I am running a simple query with one criteria and one table Thanks. Hi Bill, The doc refers to a different ODBC driver (for DirectConnect product) so you might have a completely different problem. The message implies you are using ODBC 12.0 (Client Library based) or prior since the message indicates CtLib info. You might want to post more details involved with getting to this error. You also might want to post exact versions of ASE and ODBC driver, including Open ...

ODBC error: external error, while testing an ODBC connection to an ASE server
"The connection failed because of invalid or missing external configuration data." Does this have to do with the configuration of OCS-12_0 or the ocscfg.exe? Running ocscfg.exe, I've set the "SYBASE:" directory to "C:\sybase" but it doesn't seem to like it when I set the "Sybase_OCS:" to "C:\sybase\OCS-12_0". I don't know if this is related. Another idea - on the install I chose "No" to updating the msvcrt.dll (the MS C Runtime) because I've seen that hose a system before. Is this file safe to overwrite and ca...
